You mean, just make Halo 3 2 or Halo Reach 2 instead? Just with better visuals and what not?
I dunno, but I could just play Halo 3 or Reach on the Master Chief Collection if I wanted to do that… To be honest, I actually like some of the gameplay changes in Infinite. Went back to Reach and forgot how floaty characters felt when jumping around for instance. Actually movement feels better to me in a few area’s in this game over previous ones. I actually enjoy the gunplay a little better in this game too.
The way those maps were made they were fun!
IMHO The only thing That Halo Needed Was A FACE LIFT!! - → THAT’S IT!
Peace!

um ok… While I maps in those games too. I have plenty of fun in Halo Infinite’s maps as well. I’m sure when forge comes out people will just remake a bunch of those maps into the game anyway.
MAKE HALO FUN
Not sweaty. Fun
Not-e-sports. Fun
Not about coatings. But about Fun
Or, Resign.
I agree! I like halo Infinite in Custom Games Only!. I can’t wait to get my hands on Forge. But 343 has to get the Custom Game Area Fixed, They have to give us a Custom Game Browser! WHY? Cuz Forge won’t be worth a crap without a Custom Game Game Browser. I just hope it works when they come out!
All of my Halo Infinite maps will be setup in a Traditional way Halo has always been played with some extras LIKE: Auto refill Ammo boxes, Zip Lines, Ejection Seats, All Weapons and Vehicles Will be at your base, and no more spawning in the middle of the map. You will always spawn at your base. Just to name a few things. Lots more coming.
Peace!

I honestly believe Infinite has the most fun Halo gameplay I’ve ever experienced. When it’s working. Which it never is. So, ![]()
This post seems to think that the past halos had similar game play to each other; I’m sure that’s beneficial for easy ‘push the button, get the food pellet’ type response, but the bottom line is they didn’t. Every halo game has been different; had different weapons, different movement, different game play.
2 was vastly different to CE, 3 was vastly different to 2, Reach was vastly different to 3, etc. TBH the two games that are the closest to each other is 3 and infinite. Infinite is literally 3 with sprint, different equipment, and hit registration that works most of the time.
Compared to H3’s hit registration, would Infinite be a step up when factoring desync?
Honestly, the bullets taking a moment to count as a hit is better than the bullet just not counting as a hit at all.
I was already under the impression that the bullets were slower in 3, which is fine. I’m just wondering if it was better back in 3. I’m hearing buzz about hit reg being bad in those days.
If I remember correctly, bullets in Halo 3 would make contact and rarely not register at all, but it was harder to tell. I know it showed more in some weapons than others, but mostly UNSC weapons. I think it’s more frequent in Halo Infinite though.
