Before you read this, I would like to inform you that I would like 343i to work on the actual gameplay first. And if they have time add in this idea
So, now that we got that out of the way, I can talk about my idea. I would like your reticule to move up a little when you fire the Sniper Rifle. Right now, right when you shoot, your aimer just stays in the same spot. this has always kind of bugged me, since the Sniper Rifle is huge! Now, your reticule doesn’t have move up a ridiculous amount, it could just move up a little. This would give the feeling of the Snipers power!
Edit Some people are getting confused. I mean the reticule should move up after you shoot. Sorry for not making that clear!
I thought it did. I remember being amazed at how still it was when I played Anniversary for the first time, which makes me think that it must have moved in all previous Halo games.
Oh, wait… do you mean that it should actually have moved after the initial recoil?

Really? I haven’t noticed it But if it does, then ignore this thread

It’s fine. But you have to realize that it’s a 50 cal. weapon. But everyone has their opinions

Its also being held by a genetically modified super human wearing advanced armor. I don’t understand why the SMG does it.
My gut instinct is to disagree with this suggested change, based on how frustrating it would be to have to repeatedly readjust one’s aim, but I do welcome the introduction of anything that makes the sniper rifle more difficult to use.
> I don’t see this feature contributing anything positive to the gameplay.
How about forcing people not to rely on the sniper rifle during every single game, on every single map, in every single playlist? I get it: it’s fun to use, and you feel quite capable when you use it well; however, it ruins the game for a lot of people.
No recoil is why the entire team rushes the sniper every game in Halo: Reach. Halo 3’s sniper had the recoil which made it more difficult to use. I agree with your opinion.
