Just a question

Is there going to be by chance the option of having no limit to party size in multiplayer? I usually play with 4 other people making my squad 5… Reach used to be like this and we played swat all the time… we can’t play swat together now because of the size limit, is this subject to change?

I mean party size would depend on the mode, no? You can’t go into a 4v4 playlist with a team of 5 or am I not understanding the scenario?

It’s tough to say at this point what restrictions around party size and similar online features and limitations will be present, both given the relatively little we know about Infinite and more specifically the fact we know almost nothing about the Scarlett.

Since it’s going to be a multi-plat game, I’d just keep my eyes peeled on news from 343i about this kind of thing. To my knowledge, there’s nothing confirmed yet about it. It could be upwards of a year before these types of details trickle out.

I hope there’s plenty of room for me and the boys to mess around in a variety of different playlists.

The issue is maps. 5v5 on a map designed for 4v4 is cramped and crowded and makes spawn killing more of a problem.

If maps are designed for 5v5 then fine, but shoe-horning 5v5 onto 4v4 maps would be a mistake. Likewise 4v4 on maps designed for 5v5 would become slower

It is going to have to depend on the game type. Having a no size limit can get exploited. Can you imagine a party of 1 player and 7 smurf accounts on 4v4. People often just want the bragging rights of the higher rank, although they don’t want to play in a higher tournament bracket.

Unrestricted party size? Make a custom game.
That being said I do hope there was a way to post your custom games if you want them to have a drop-in/drop-out game play but I can see how that can also go horrible wrong if you set your custom game to public and someone goes in and doesn’t understand or doesn’t care about what type of game you are playing. There are those whose golden circle only consists of what is in the game mode options and nothing else.

Ok so basically what I meant was, 4v4 with 5 people in the party. It would then put one person from our team randomly on the other side, we really like SWAT, but hate that someone has to sit out or we play a different game type in general… so if they didn’t set a party limit then we could all enjoy SWAT… make sense now?
