Just to start off i want to say the MP Beta is fun it is the most fun i have personally had with a Halo in a VERY long time but here we go:
Progression through the battle pass Still feels incredible stunted, players should be given more control over how fast or how slow they go through it, you have our money for so let people go nuts
Challenges A lot of these challenges are still very much “play this game our way or you can’t progress or get the weekly award” for example i do not want to carry a fusion coil around yeet it at someone just for them to either blow it up in my face or hit them and do basically no damage
Maps They are OK… im hoping for returning classics or maps with better flow and weapon placements none so far are iconic or memorable or at least for the right reasons (I’m looking at you ranked CTF on Behemoth)
Armour customization The Armour core system is going to limit the amount of customization players have, you can’t mix and match pieces from different cores it makes absolutely no sense that i can’t buy a team skin and then wear it on my Frankenstein MK7/MK5B if i could do that. Also noticed today that there are duplicate visors the only difference behind them is that one is for the MK5B and on the battle pass while the other is tied to a micro transaction
The AR is way too strong i just feel like it needs to lose its head shot multiplier and/or have damage drop off. The other weapons in the game need tweaking minus the rockets/sniper.
Grenades In the small team games like ranked it quickly devolves into who can spam the most grenades around this corner and a simple fix for that would be just to make them pick-ups
Controller/Hit registration The controller input still feels awful and clunky, ive tried so many different settings at this point and it just doesn’t feel great while on the other hand MKB feels great really fluid and fast, TBH i dont know if this is a hit registration issue or not but getting head shot kills are inconsistent this is more with the Sidekick, BR and commando ive even been into custom games with friends to test this you cannot replicate it, it just randomly happens
I look forward to what the campaign brings and hopefully it comes with some more Armour customization and more MP maps
