Just a curiosity! Why no mines or demo packs?

Just asking out of curiosity before anyone starts yelling “Because that’s not Halo!!! If you don’t like it go play CoD loser!!!”. Which by the way I don’t play. Anyway it dawned on me today that Halo 5 covers almost all the panolpies of ground warfare including aerial vehicles but doesn’t include some weapons like mines or demo packs which are used in other Halo lore. Again before you start yelling that I don’t know what halo is (been playing since CE), does anyone think that’s weird these have never been chosen to be in the game? Also not saying they should be, the game is just fine without them! Just an observation!

You know I thought about a few of these items coming back from H3 but being placed in the grenade slot…all of the “equipment” if I remember what is was called correctly.

Never thought about it before, but yes I agree it is pretty weird. Would be good to be able to leave motion activated explosives lying around

Well if you mean placeable mines, I couldn’t really see any important reason to add them in. I mean sure it would be cool, but it wouldn’t be necessary or anything.

I absolutely agree with you. It’s interesting when you wrap your mind around it. Blasting through destructible walls (walls you can Spartan bash) would be pretty sweet.

Or maybe even knocking down structures to change the map, like other games would be sick.

H3 did have mines when we had equipment which yes I so miss having. Also H4 had the sticky detonator so that was kinda like a demo pack I guess. I don’t know why the sticky detonator didn’t make it to H5. Maybe in a future update it will be added.

Land mines are in forge in past Halo games. Havent seen any in Halo 5 forge but they might make a return

Yeah that’s true they did have some iteration of them, but it always kind of felt like they were considered more of a wacky niche weapons. I could see why they wouldn’t be in arena play but Warzone, why not? It just seems a little absurd that I could have a device I put on the ground that will make and energy dome around me but not one that explodes when you step on it.

Oh I didn’t know that, never did much forging

You can throw a plasma nade into grav lifts (like the one on collesium) and make a trap if that counts haha
