Seeing as the May update will already be underway, all suggestions in and 343 hard at work, I think it’s time to start thinking of next months update. Post suggestions here for the lovely folks at 343 to read and work on.

They just need to plain add in the newest DLC maps period, at least for Invasion Slayer. There’s no Defiant or Anniversary at all. Same with Action Sack maps, only has Noble.
Remove Team Snipers from Anniversary classic and Anniversary big team battle.
Add heal health packs to Beaver creek Anniversary.
Fix spawns on prisoner Anniversary.
Add higher jump height and faster movement speed.
Remove Bloom from the magnum.
Firefight:
Remove Firefight doubles.
Add more traditional Firefight game modes to Firefight arcade and Squad attack (i.e. Firefight, Generator Defense Etc…).
Rumble pit:
Lower the weighing for Un-caged and Sword base.

My wish is to have limited firefight the #1 option, and arcade fight #2 or 3. Or at least make a version of arcade that runs on legendary instead of heroic. I have a version I made myself, just a few tweaks to go. It is the anti suicide credit farm option. Legendary firefight is a real challenge, add in more skulls than usual and whoa, you got yourself a major problem as wraiths no longer take 2 rockets to kill and elites that usually seem quite tame suddenly charge full steam ahead with raging fury.
Some more btb heavies maps would be nice, I only ever see rasu and asphalt.
If dlc was required and free fine, but if you’re going to make the majority of the community have to spend money on maps that aren’t worth the price, you’re going to see a population drop, big time.
I’ve noticed that super slayer has a very low population compared to vanilla. The highest I saw was 2000 but it’s been weeks since that, now it’s almost always below 1000.
I say for 1 month get rid of firefight arcade just as a test to see how the community reacts to it. Only give the option to play firefight limited. You never know some people might take a liking to it. As it is firefight arcade is an insult to my intelligence. I can feel the brain cells crying out for a challenge! Make us think while we play again, make us earn those credits. Infinite ammo is NOT infinite awesome.

Looks like you partially got your wish. Firefight Arcade playlist has been renamed and Firefight Limited is back in for voting!

As for the highlighted portions… just no. Other than that I think some community maps need to be added to Invasion. I have played some AMAZINGLY creative custom invasion maps, and think they would be a BLAST to play in MM.
Apply TU to all playlists (except Invasion). Rename any gametype with the ‘TU prefix’ to its standard one. Eg. TU Slayer -> Slayer. Instead simply apply the TU updated info in the playlist info space as it is now.
Remove Super Slayer and update Team Slayer with the TU.
Add 5 v 5 Squad Slayer Back in.
-Take ZB Slayer out of Team Slayer.
-Take out all maps from Invasion that is not Spire, Boneyard, Breakpoint, Hemorrhage, and Paradiso. Then Add Highlands, Breakneck, and Ridgeline to Invasion. Look into community maps for the Invasion update.
Split Firefight Arcade and regular Firefight into separate playlists. Regular firefight should have firefight as the first option and generator defence as the second.
-Add an armour lock and jetpack loadout to NEP Firefight Limited. Take out the evade loadout.
-Take Heretics out of Firefight.
-Add Condemned to Rumble pit. Then increase Uplink and Condemned’s chances of appearing.
Id like to see invasion updated, and for there to be no constraints on which maps appear in which slots and with which gametypes.
Best case scenario, un-TU BTB to alleviate the obnoxious range/kill time of the DMR. I havent bothered trying to play a proper game since it was borged.
But im afraid to ask for real material changes in case they do something stupid like start rolling out the TU again.
Yes I did get my wish for firefight limited, to an extent anyways.
For June I would like:
BTB Hemmorage to have a rocket spawn on either side of the map, one at each base. It’s enough like a heavies variant with the vehicles, however the weapon spawns are few and far between on the map, the only power weapon is the plasma launcher and given the map size, if you are being spawn camped there is just about nothing you can do (enemy team has both wraiths). A defense against this would be nice, one rocket spawn at or within close proximity of each base. Frg, Plasma Launcher and rocket spawns would spice things up. Hemmorage isn’t heavies, but with all the vehicles it’s damn close to it.
Increased weighting of firefight limited in Firefight, variants such as generator defense, crash site added, removal of sniper fight, rocket fight, frg fight from the voting options. Also a new arcade legendary option would be nice to have. I tested it out with altered options in custom firefight. Basically you would need an extra overshield and more time - 30 minutes instead of 20. My map variant didn’t have just grunts in the bonus round either, it was brute/elite/hunter patrol - each has grunts. I made the loadouts the same, all settings same except for enemy dmg resistence, your damage (lowered), faster run, higher jump, 3x overshield, 30 min game length, and legendary difficulty. It was very fun.
Negative 9’s ideas too except just make the DLC map packs required for btb/invasion. Or all playlists.
I have another thing to add: arcade starting loadouts. Simply put change the weapons you start with. 9 out of 10 games on beachhead someone will suicide with rockets then grab jetpack and fuel rod gun. These people then have an unfair advantage against all others in game by having 2x the firepower while everyone else must start out with what they chose. As if arcade wasn’t easy enough already. How about we drop the ordinance weapons from initial starting loadouts and replace them with other weapons. As the match progresses if a gun from an enemy drops that we like we can walk up to it and take it. IE Sniper from heretics, frg from grunts, rocket launchers from heretics, etc. As it is it’s either green goo or BOOM SHAKALAKA!
My starting equipment is Hologram and Needler + Magnum/Needle Rifle. I’d say about 40% of the games I play I still get first place using a needle rifle the whole match.
So to cap it off: Remove frg, rockets, grenade launcher, sniper, and plasma launcher from starting loadouts. Maybe start it like shotgun and needler with Jetpack. Focus Rifle and Dmr for camo, Needle Rifle and Sword for hologram, magnum and plasma repeater with sprint - I use the repeater in firefight and it’s deadly, and plasma pistol and spiker with armour lock. Or just give everyone Ar + Magnum starts and let us pick our own weapons off the battle field when we find them.
This is my wish for the June update, that may help with the betrayal problems:
Turn off the Friendly Fire option for the whole month of June in ALL playlists, then tell people to vote over here whether or not it was better than with friendly fire on.
If the majority of people liked Reach without friendly fire on, then leave it off.
If the majority of people didn’t like Reach with out friendly fire on, then turn it back on.
All I ask is please…please… make Invasion Breakpoint a lot more heavily weighted in Squad DLC, I only need “You Blew It Up” and then Im done with Reach achievements and can finally put down this game and start focusing on Halo 3.
Community maps should help with beefing up Invasion. In Invasion take the DMR and Needle Rifle off at first objective in the game to prevent spawn killings. Community maps should have both Invasion and Invasion Slayer gametypes.
Please return the following:
ZB: Zero Bloom should return and TU should be taken off on all game types in Reach. This includes Slayer, Objective, BTB, etc. TU should never return. Replace it with ZB.
Generator Defense: This gametype should be 6 on 6 match between Spartans vs Elites. Spartans must defend the Generators from the Elite attack. Weapon drops of Spartan Laser, Sniper Rifle and Rocket Launcher should be on the maps in various locations. Bring back the Beta Generator Defense! The game type should be in the Invasion playlist.
Community or Classic Slayer: Ither one is fine but both forge maps are good. I like to see more community forge maps to see which is good to put on Reach for matchmaking thus people on Waypoint can decide and vote which maps should be in matchmaking and what problems the maps have. Many people do make forge maps to create their own games. Lets all try them on Live! Classic Slayer should return. I miss the old maps that were forged and put in the Matchmaking. I like to play them again especially remake maps from H2.
