Could this be hinting at a Spartan ops 2.0 or perhaps our own Spartan partaking in iterations upon the campaign through updates?
I totally called it. they’ve been heavily alluding to this since the multiplayer reveal, it was all over their ad campaign. “What kind of Spartan will you be?”
I’m okay with it as long as it doesn’t replace any well rounded character, like Master Chief, with a lifeless avatar that you don’t have any emotional connection with. Like Skyrim.

It is a great idea. I think as long as they keep up premier single player campaign content after launch this will be great for the community and especially the franchise. I don’t see why we can’t fight next to Master Chief and other known Spartans in some epic battles. Shadows of Reach would be super exciting and it would allow for two different ways of story telling. One through Chief’s eyes where we can play as him and then as a Spartan helping Chief.
I’m thinking this is more of a spartan ops 2.0 rather than our spartan in the campaign, I’m thinking our MP spartan does side missions on the ring. Also it is refreshing to see that we will be earning gear from playing the campaign.

I did. I thought he left the door open to the possibility that future campaign content would be your Spartan and not Masterchief. Maybe you’re supporting Chief - or maybe in order to save the universe Masterchief has to join Cortana in the realm she’s in and end his physical being. All I’m saying is I took his words as a hint to future content and possibly campaign.
