Agreed. I feel kinda the same way about the entire noble team. They were good characters, but I don’t necessarily think they should have a place in the new trilogy.

That was Sheila, a Spartan II. It was during the Battle of Miridem in 2544, by Thel Lodamee. This event is the direct prequel to the Legends episode The Package.
Having said that, I do think Jun is dead.
