> Former Halo Legendary Crate Loot Crate person here!

> 1- The account linking issue will not be fixed. Sorry about that! The team stopped working on it a while ago since they determined they wouldn’t be moving forward with more Halo Legendary Crates after this last one. Tech/dev team resources were needed elsewhere.

> 2- Most of LC staff is gone. There’s still some support staff, but I’m not sure how many reps there are now. Due to the article coming out, and months of excessive delays, I imagine the support team is SUPER backed up right now. Typically they’d try to reply within 2 business days, however I imagine the wait time may be considerably longer at this point. It’s unfortunate, but if you have gone more than 48 hours without a reply from support, I suggest DMing the @askloot twitter account with your support ticket number and email associated with your account to get a faster update. Also, some people may not be receiving a reply as there may be issues with issuing refunds, and if that’s the case, a bunch of tickets may be on hold until they can address your specific ticket saying yes or no to a refund. In my experience, support will most likely request that you just wait a couple more weeks for your crate to ship (assuming it actually ships end of month) instead of giving you a refund. As you’ve all already had to wait months for this crate to ship, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to ask for (and be firm about receiving) a refund if you choose not to wait any longer. Just make sure you’re nice, but firm about wanting a refund and request to escalate to a manager if you are not getting the refund as requested.

> 3- If your subscription ever disappears from your account info that’s usually because the estimated shipping time for that crate has passed. This doesn’t mean you won’t get your crate, or that your subscription was canceled or that something else went wrong. (So don’t worry!) Usually it just takes someone updating the system with the new ETA for it to show up in your account again.

> 4- Last I heard the Halo Legendary Crate was going to be shipping the end of this month. (This was before I was laid off) I’m not sure how this whole bankruptcy and acquisition thing affected crate shipping statuses though. I’m crossing my fingers for you all that you all get that final crate, and soon!

> 5- I doubt LC will be doing another Halo Legendary Crate series for a while, if at all. I think they have a lot of things to figure out before they tackle that one again. That being said, I do think the Halo Legendary Crate was one of the most consistent crates in terms of quality, and it was my favorite crate. I would like to see another series again, especially since I know some of what they had in store for the next series, and it would have been awesome.
Hopefully some day, but as StateKDizzy said… “I’m not holding my breath.”
Thanks for the info and sorry to hear you got laid off. I wish you the best in finding new employment elsewhere.
Thank you for the very in depth breakdown of everything. This has by far been the most helpful piece of information I’ve received regarding Loot Crate.
I did receive emails back from support. Like the former Loot Crater said, extremely backed up and took more than 48 hours to reply. They were very apologetic and basically said the same things they’ve said in the past. Issues with the manufacturer, quality control, etc. Not sure how much of that is true or if it’s more regarding the bankruptcy, but they were friendly so there’s a silver lining.
As mentioned, the crate disappeared from my profile and then reappeared with a date slated for the end of the month (Aug 11th - Aug 30th). Let’s all hope this is the finish line. It’d be nice for them to get these all out and them to finish out the Halo Crates. I don’t really want a refund, I’d prefer to finish out the line of crates and have everything but if it keeps getting pushed back, I may consider it.
It is a real bummer. This was my first experience with Loot Crate. And it started out great. I’d get excited to see what each crate had. I wished they were monthly. But as time went on, things got worse and worse. Delayed shipping, missing items, etc. I hope they turn it around or Microsoft emulates something similar. It was a great concept.
Again, thank you for all the information.
