Juggernaut bug

If there is going to be a patch, I would really, really like to see this fixed. Here’s the low-down from a thread I original wrote on the Bungie forums:

> Hi Folks, I’ll try to make this short:

> In Halo Reach, the Juggernaut gametype appears to have a bug which prevents plays from altering any of the pre-determined attributes in a custom game (health, weapons, armor abilities, etcetera). Juggernaut is a very unique gametype and has been host to some really creative games in previous Halos made by dedicated community members. Without the ability to adjust the Juggernaut attributes, the gametype is way less useful for creating exciting and innovative Halo custom gameplay.

> As far as I have found, Bungie has been totally silent on this issue. The biggest problem seems to be that anyone posting about the bug on this forum rarely gets a response as custom-game tinkerers and Forgers are obviously the minority over the people who play vanilla Halo Reach (and many people are unaware that the Juggernaut gametype even exists because it’s so infrequently used, thanks to the bug), but I implore you all, calling upon you as brethren of this game that we all enjoy in our own unique ways, to assist this effort.

Please, all I’m asking is that you post in this thread and let Bungie know that you would like a response from them about the Juggernaut bug.

I’d suggest sending BS a Personal Message about this issue, I have PM’d her twice about two different things and got a reply back for both of them.

lol my 9yo little brother who loves customs switched back to H3 cuz of this. I chuckled.

Yes They should fix this.

Reach didn’t fail because of its bad multiplayer gameplay, It failed because of its un-imaginative/Totally lame set of custom options they offered.

I mean if they put abit more work into custom game options, like remove bloom option and individual weapon damage modifiers then Reach’s life could of been 10X longer simply through customs, and don’t forget that custom gametypes and maps can find their way into matchmaking too.

Epic developer fail.

If 343 manages to fix this and the dozen glitches in Forge that disrupt and detriment Custom Games, Reach will be the best casual gameplay experience game ever.

Please make the juggernaut variant customizable!! I want to make gametypes that i couldnt do with H3 and H2!!

and bring back VIP while your at it.
Actually, i would SERIOUSLY recommend releasing some type of gametype creator for halo games. It would keep us all quiet.
Thats never going to happen though.

Just spent some time messing around with the Juggernaut settings, and we were able to change everything except the weapon attributes. That doesn’t sound like your experience, though. Can you provide more details, please?

Hi bs angel, thanks for your attention.

It was quite a while ago that I ran into this frustration and I’ll head home to double check all of this info momentarily, but as I recall, it’s impossible to change any of the starting weapons, health, jump height, damage, speed, and other related attributes.

As I said, I’ll double check this at home and report back in a few hours to verify exactly what can/can’t be changed for the Juggernaut.

I’ve been trying to create an old favorite, Ninjanaut, but I’m having similar problems.

I seem to be able to change speed, jump height, shields and camo, but I can’t change the weapon loadout, equipment loadout or the ability to pick up weapons from the map.

Unfortunately the whole stealthy idea for the game doesn’t work at all if the only weapon you can use in a big flaming hammer!

Is there likely to be a fix for this at all? Please?

I ran into the same exact problem.

Im having similar issues, posted about this in the community creations forum today.

The story is, me and my clan were in a game, we were all partied up except for one member, we went into multi team with the plan of all gangin up on one team, well the one clan member than didn’t know was the one who wasn’t partied up, halfway through the game we switched up and all ganged up on him, it was hilarious.

I’ve been tinkering with recreating the experience in customs using juggernaut. But the weapons are preventing me from being able to pull it off, also delaying the juggernaut switch would be awesome as well, but the latter is a small detail.

And then nobody cared anymore… This is a known bug since day one. It bothers me so much that everyone who pointed out the problem has been ignored. Still no fix, no official answers, nothing.

Im sorry to report so late but we on reach are Still having problems with this gametype you can not change the weapon from gravity hammer, I feel like that is essential to create a custom game , and it seems like a simple and easy bug to fix just make a new gametype from juggernaut thats fixed , theres probably some bug with the new game choosing a juggernaut at the very start which can probably be fixed by delaying who is the juggernaut in the beginning just spit balling here
