So, which version of Mark IV do you guys think is in? Halo Wars? And here’s what I’d like to know: In that interview, Josh Holmes confirmed Mark’s IV and V’s helmets to be in the game. Does that include the full armor sets as well? I don’t think they’d only release helmets, right? Let’s hope not.
The writer could have gotten VI and IV mixed up. Unless we have heard Holmes actually say the number 4, it’s not confirmed yet.
If Mark IV is indeed in the game, I expect it to be the Halo Wars variant. It just seems more likely with Halo Wars 2 on the horizon, giving it an edge over the Legends/Forward Unto Dawn variant.

It’s true, though. People get the roman numerals mixed up all the time, so until I hear Josh or anyone else at 343 actually say the number 4, I’ll take it with a grain of salt. Reason why that’s so easy for me is because I’m indifferent about the Mark IV, so whether it’s in or not doesn’t affect me personally. I was hyped for Mark V.

Honestly, wouldn’t it be cool if both were in to please everyone? I mean Mark VI Gen 1 and Mark VI (Halo 4, not specifically Mark VI Gen 2) are both in. So they could always maybe throw us both. I liked how it was in Legends, but it looked way too Mark VI for me to think of it as a Mark IV.

I much prefer the Halo Wars version and with Halo Wars 2 on the way it seems logical or smart to put that armor set into the game. The forward unto dawn set looks too much like the standard mk VI we are already getting.

If it was a typo, he would’ve corrected it by now or made a public announcement apologizing for it as a mistake. It’s been talked about here and on Gaf, 343i know we know.

I would think so. I just had to ask because he said helmets. I love wearing full Mark V. Favorite armor.
