For anybody who doesn’t know, I’m a huge fan of the Hayabusa armor and I greatly want it to be back in Halo 4.
So I asked Josh Holmes on twitter if it was possible for Hayabusa to be in Halo 4.
Here’s the tweet
Could this mean that Hayabusa might actually return? Or that 343i is considering returning it?

bracing for flame wars over hayabusa

Suddenly hayabusa attracts everyone again? No offense but that thing was seriously just a helmet for 12 year olds. I’d like for it to stay outta Halo.
Hopefully, it does make its way back into the game. The armor looked fantastic.
Hmm…
Well, we got Hayabusa because of the trade between Bungie and Team Ninja:
-Halo 3 got Hayabusa Armour
-Dead or Alive 4 got a Spartan Character
And it just so happens that Dead or Alive 5 is coming out at in September this year…so, it’s a decent possibility that it could return even if the whole Copyright thing were still a problem…
Not saying it’s a definite, just a possibility…

i was 12 when i got H3 for the first time…i thought Hayabusa was the most idiotic armor design i have seen in a sci-fi genre
my 12 yr-old friends…they disagree

343i owns the hayabusa designs, like the op said, they could make if they wanted to, if the copyright was temporary, the hayabusa toys would’ve stopped long ago

I didn’t wear Hayabusa because it was popular, I wore it simply because it looked cool. I had never even played nor heard about Ninja Gaiden during Halo 3, I never saw a ninja, just a guy with kick -Yoink- armor. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and their own preferences when it comes to armor.

Same here dude. When I was 12 I thought da mob boss12 was a clever name. Now I want to slap my 12 year old self repeatedly. Lol

You were smart to think that. You could have met alot of haters in Halo 3 otherwise… Used to have a younger friend on my Friends list, he used hayabusa and got hate like everyday.

Never said the guys and girls couldn’t have their opinions, i merely stated mine regarding hayabusa.

Oh I know, I just meant that if it were still to be a factor, the “Trade” that they did before could be done again…thanks for saying though…
Also, who’s to say they don’t end up “Trading” again just for the hell of it…I for one think it’d be a cool interaction, simply for the hell of it…
Here’s my advice for Hayabusa haters, if you don’t like it then don’t wear it.
I thought the EOD helmet in Halo 3 looked stupid but it returned in Reach and was redesigned in a way where it looked pretty awesome.
Team Ninja has no copyright over Hayabusa armor. If it was actually Ryu Hayabusa then they would have a copyright issue. Since this is a armor that is inspired by the character, 343i owns it. That’s why they’ve been able to sell toys of it for the past several years.
Well, I like the hayabusa armor and I’m almost 18. If it shows up in the game again I will wear it again, till I get tired of my Spartan wearing it, no matter how mainstream the helmet gets.
> I thought the EOD helmet in Halo 3 looked stupid but it returned in Reach and was redesigned in a way where it looked pretty awesome.
…But…Halo 3 EOD was the -Yoink!-…
Seriously though, I understand different people like different things, so I’m all for bringing back designs others like that I may not…you know, that way, if Karma exists, the ones I like will come back too…

Ninja Gaiden is for 12-year-olds? Huh…
Does it really matter? Put the armor in the game. If you don’t like the armor, don’t wear it. Adding more options won’t hurt anyone.
Since DoA5 is coming out, they could even redesign the helmet to look like Ryu Hayabusa’s new look.
I even drew a picture for you link
I miss that armor so much.

You misunderstood completely…
