Josh Holmes in the Gi article and I quote… “from a creative standpoint, in approaching the new enemy we wanted to create something that played very different from the covenant. We didn’t want it to just feel like something that looked different but still plays the same way. We wanted to create a set of enemies that work together in a collaborative way, where each of of those enemies builds on and accentuates the abilities of the others. So when you face an individual enemy they offer one challenge, but as you layer those enemies together it changes the experience in important ways that heightens the challenge. If anything, they’re kind elevated in terms of their intelligence and complexity relative to the covenant.”… So… Let’s discuss…

A–Yoinking!–GREED!!
Say what you want about the multiplayer the but campaign looks epic
Makes me wonder if one character will be a heavily-armoured shield generator and taking him out will make the rest of the squad easier to kill.
Precursor! It can only be Precursor!
IM thinking 3 sentinels working together like in the book Ghosts of Oxyx. Also, I think we’ll see new sentinels we’ve never seen before.
lol
I think this is the enemy on Legendary.
I don’t know what that guy is…but I find him upsetting.
AAAAANYWAY, I’m glad we’ll be facing an enemy that might not just employ the Zap Brannigan strategy.

WWWWWWTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFF caught me off guard
OT: Onyx sentinels are said to be able to merge together and be more effective.

That sounds promising.
I personally think 343i will save the Precursors for later in the trilogy if not the next series. They need a enemy beyond the Forerunners to keep our eyes looking down the road. To go straight past the Forerunners, a race that have been teased for 10+ years doesn’t make any sense. We will be gauntlet deep in Forerunners and Faber until 343i turns us upside down again in the distant future. That’s my opinion, how many people hate it?
Smart AI that work together in a cohesive unit not just team shoot you? Ahem…
WOOOO HOOOOO!!!

I wonder how that works. The Covenant usually arrange themselves hierarchically, with the leader at the back surrounded by his lesser units. The Flood comes straight at you with no intention of surviving and no organization, so that’s two basic ideas out of the way.
These enemies will probably have equivalent power to one another, and intermix. This is logically the only way they can go if they want to actually change how the game plays.

Exactly what i thought when i read the OP.

Me --Yoinking!-- TOO!!!
And they’ll still be no match for the Master Chief ^^
To me, this sounds like the geth from mass effect. In groups, the individual AI got tougher, and the more you take out, the “dumber” they get
