I knew the new addition to the extended Halo lore “Shadow of Intent” was coming out soon, but I had no idea it was being written BY THE ORIGINAL WRITER OF HALO. Is there a chance he joins 343 and becomes the lead writer for Halo 7? Or maybe change Halo 6 for the better???
I think this would be a really really good idea. Get on it 343.

Staten probably will help out here or there if they need it, but not a whole lot. I’m just glad that the master himself is once again voicing the grunts!

I kind of want Lee Wilson to make a return too. people can say that he messed up the Halo timeline with Reach but I see it more as an example of how he made me care about someone other than chief.

Yeah but Staten came up the the original trilogy. Halo CE - Halo 3 is my favourite story out of any book, movie, video game. WE NEED HIM BACK

very much this and can we get Marty and his music back, nit that halo 5 didn’t have a good soundtrack, but lets be honest it borrowed heavily from past games for inspiration. Just get Marty!!

343i is a subsidiary of Microsoft Game studios, and therefore a part of Microsoft as a whole. They might get a lot of freedom to do what they want, but Microsoft calls the shots, not just on Halo, but on everything that goes on in the studio.
If 343 cares at all about Halo, then they at least should reach out to him for a writing job on Halo 6.
They made a big change in the story with 5. Hopefully he can work with the new direction.

Yeah he can’t just keep writing canonically correct extended lore from OUTSIDE 343. He has to join 343 at some point if he wants to keep up. He said himself that his new book is so canonically simple that you only need to have played Halo 3 to understand in full what he writes about.
