One main thing that bugs my in halo matchmaking is that when you play a team based playlist (which is almost all of them), that if everyone except you and the other team quits, you are left to play against 4 and 1 vs 4 is generally a brutal beating to that loner on the team. I think that there should be an option that you can turn off or on that lets you join games in progress to even out the teams. One thing about this, which i’ve learnt from COD is that you sometimes join at the end which is a real pain. So i think if the game is nearly over, the game should be permanently closed so no one can join in progress. What do you think?
I personally would hate that. It sucks in CoD when you join and the other team already has a spawn trap up and is destroying the hell out of your team. If I join a game were people quit, its probably because the other team has the spawns or are just mind-blowingly good.
That’s why i dislike drop in/out except in large games like battle feild

This would only be a viable option if you could choose the game to join instead of being put in an unfair position. Much like it was in CE for PC, you just looked up servers and picked the one you liked. Some games would end as you joined and a minute later the next game would begin. It was great. It would also remove unfair teams - if someone quits. I was in a game yesterday 5 minutes in I realized I had only a few minutes left before I had to go. I know it probably sucked for my team but sometimes something comes up and I can’t do anything about it. For those times it would be handy if someone quits on a team to have a new party member join to fill the gap. If spawn camping wasn’t an issue and everyone wasn’t obsessed with winning it wouldn’t be as big a problem. It isn’t to me at least.
