Joining Issues

Joining games can sometimes fail ridiculously. Sometimes my friend invites me and I accept his invite, but I end up in a different person’s game. It’s also happened before that I tried joining someone, and when I couldn’t be added to the game, it still considered me part of the game session. To try joining again, I had to leave the lobby and say “no” to the prompt that asked if I wanted to bring the party with me (I had no party with me to begin with, which was odd). Then there’s also the problem where I can’t join my friends mid-game, as well as the problem where I can’t limit the number of players in a lobby.

Please fix those, 343i.

Is no one else experiencing this?

Bro, i hate to break it to ya… But this whole game is one big -Yoinking!- issue right now. I suggest coming back in 2017, it’s probably fixed by then.

everyone is experiencing this. disappointing the party system didn’t get any better after this huge -Yoink- patch

Yeah i can’t even join my friends games 80% of the time.

everyone that you want to party with has to restart the game after every match pretty much if you want to play together

Just wait my friends. They can’t fix the whole game with one update, that much is clear. At least the majority of people can use matchmaking by searching by themselves for now, here’s to hoping parties are the next thing on 343’s list

Too many problems to count, just plain BROKEN!!!

It’s because the halo party system and the xbone aren’t working together. Party up with your friends and invite them to the game through the party app. You’ll notice it adds them via a notification at the bottom you may not get otherwise (not sure if any of this is verified, just what I suspect to be the case).
To pull them out of postgame, party and session leader pulls battery pack out of controller. Xbone ui forces party back to lobby. Easy lmfao
