Edit: Give me an ACTUAL valid reason as to why JIP cannot work in any of the following ways other than "JIP is bad." So far, no one has been able to give a rational explanation for why JIP has to just not exist in Halo.

First, with halo, you enter matchmaking before every game. This means that if matchmaking took a constant time, JIP decreases your “playing time” to total time ratio as you will end up spending more of your time searching for games instead of actually playing them. If social games stay together, then maybe.
Secondly, joining a game in progress eliminates aspects of the game and potentially reduces the fun. For example, say you JIP and get spawn killed by a rocket. How is that fair to you? You’ve missed out on the initial rush for weapons and start your game at a disadvantage because the opposing team already has rockets.
There’s no need for JIP. I’m assuming people want it to keep games full/balanced when someone quits or gets disconnected. If you want a full/balanced game then, just quit out as well and research.

^^^ YOU MAKE IS SOUND LIKE YOU HAVE 1000 VOTES, NO ONE CARES! 343 ALREADY SAID JIP WILL NEVER BE IN HALO AGAIN. all it did during 4 was ruin the community even more

Why all mad over nothing?
Hell, I’m not exactly FOR join-in-progress either, but if it is done right instead of just allowed in all playlists then it could work.
Halo 4 was a terrible game, and 343 chose to imitate instead of innovate which is just one of many reasons of why it flopped in the eyes of the vast majority of fans.
Compromises can work, but acting like an ass just makes you look like a tool.

Ah, so you are trolling
Also, how does me saying that Halo 4 is terrible make me a “343 crybaby”?

Don’t care about JIP.
Can easily live without it.
It’s implementation in Halo 4 was terrible.
BUT I can see it working IF it was done right, hence the different choices that aren’t just clear cut of “Yes” or “No”.
Also, more curious on the results of a poll when the answers aren’t just a simple “Yes” or “No,” because it really isn’t as simple as that.

Option 5:
“Only allow JIP in social playlists with an option to not join a match in progress”
So, it doesn’t allow it in ranked playlists, and so only in the unranked social ones.
Then there is how it includes an option to not join a game that already started, so it is user choice if you want to join a game that started.
For me, I would always opt out, but other people would be fine with joining a social unranked game that already started.

this is your opinion. i feel the game looses it touch “fun” when i go to check the score boatd and. three out of 6 even though big team sjould be 8, people have quit or with the mcc glitched out. then im stuck playing -Yoinks!- who outnumber me which is only bad if they are good comunicationg team. i enioy JIP liked it in halo 4 the rest could use it too. atleast in social ranked if you legitimately quit no lag out your rank should drop andnyou should uave a 2 min ban
A infinity match, no victory no loose. Who care? JIP for customs, put bots i dont care about stupid fan ideas. But dont ruin the MM, I wont JIP in MM.
Put JIP and im done with MCC and leave the franchise.

Another pointless reply that can’t even defend the strict Anti-JIP mindset.
If it is only in the social playlists, then the people who only play competitive / ranked will never see it. If it also enables an option so people who do play Social can choose if they want to join a game in progress or not, then how does it affect you?
I would always opt out of joining a game in progress, but it at least wouldn’t prevent OTHER people to just jump into a game.
Most people are really just that self-absorbed to where the universe revolves around them that even if they are given a choice, and can choose against something, just for the fact that it exists makes it wrong? That is just being a mindless zealot, nothing more.
