Joining In Games Vs. Not Joining in Games

I know this topic is connected to halo 4, but is also connects to reach. After playing halo 4 for three months I went back to reach. What i liked about 4 is the addition of joining into games. Many times during playing halo reach half my team quits, only leading me to lose (especially BTB and invasion). With joining in games many of these teammates would be replaced, turning the game back around. However, while playing 4, I would join in a lot of games being down by a ton of points or joining into a game with like one player. I like how joining into reach provided fresh start to each game, but quitting was a big problem. What do you prefer: joining, no joining, or both (an option to turn joining on or off)?

The problem with JiP in Halo 4 is that nearly all occurrences of JiP happen on a losing team. Players are losing, so they quit. JiP then finds players to fill those spots–spots on the losing team.

Quit penalties need to be added. I’m not talking about the probation/ban system in Reach; that is very ineffective. I’m talking about a Halo 3 type of penalty–something that causes you to lose something, such as progress in your rank.

With a quit penalty, people are less likely to quit. When there’s less quitting, there will be less JiP, and players will be more likely to win a JiP match.

As it stands right now, in order to maintain an accurate CSR, players need to avoid JiP in all playlist, regardless of whether CSR in that playlist uses individual CSR or win/loss CSR. This should not be so.

It needs to be fixed in Halo Xbox One, because Halo Xbox One may not have a JiP avoid glitch.
