WHAT IS WRONG WITH HALO 4’S MATCHMAKING ! ! ! ? BS Angel said good players would get paired with good players and not good players would get paired with not good players. (Before you say it my k/d is quite good.) Kevin Franklin said there would be steps put in place to prevent players joining games that would be un-winnable…so how does that explain the game I just joined where my team was losing 30-340 Kev?
I want answers from 343 now
*WHY AM I JOINING GAMES THAT ARE UN-WINNABLE ??
*WHY ARE YOU PARTNERING ME WITH NOOBS THAT GO -10

I have the answer… Stop crying about it and PLAY! I will look to teamkill you in matchmaking…
Until a ranked/social system is implemented into this game your just going to have to deal with good/bad teammates, its just part of the game right now. In regards to your other point though about joining games that are not winnable, I agree that it is unacceptable. There should be a system implemented where once either team has reached 50% of the match score then no more players should join in progress.
I 100% agree with the author of this post and it looks like this issue keeps coming up. I think the story line is fantastic but matchmaking has become a complete mirror of Call Of Duty and those like it. I HATE Call of Duty. I play Halo because its Halo. It has a system that worked and now it seems like a cheap modern warfare knockoff.
Not only do I have to guess at how bad my team is doing when I join but now I can only assume the other team is well on their kill streak and has all the power weapons. Joining unwinnable matches is just one item on a very long list.
343 doesn’t have to fix anything. They were given the formula. Just PLEASE bring Halo back.

while the gameplay is more fast paced and some of the controls are bizarrely tuned to call of duty controls, the gameplay remains halo and you can’t argue that. you’ve got energy shields, you’ve got the risk control.
sorry you got a bad team, but you’re going to get more. sometimes you’ll have a team that wins, sometimes a team that loses. you can’t ask for a system that pairs players to be absolutely perfect.
I don’t find the joining losing matches things that bad, as I haven’t joined one that one sided yet myself, but I will agree that I don’t think this system should have been implemented in the first place. We’ve done fine with the matchmaking system for years, and I do think revolution is necessary but, some things just don’t need to be fixed, if they aren’t broken… Don’t get me wrong, I still think the game is amazing in a lot of ways but… these little things have, in some ways, ruined the feel of the multiplayer for me and a lot of my friends. (with whom I have extensively discussed this)

you still got bad games on the old system. you’re still going to get bad games on the new system. no system is perfect, and from what I’ve experienced this one is faster and doing fine.
I joined a game of dominion about 3 seconds before my teams last stand, the worst it’s done to me was joining a game 4 kills from finished on the losing team, my assist(5pts…) couldn’t save them

But the old system worked better so why change it…
All previous halo games made sure that you start on an even playing field. I you’re in the match from the start its a lot easier to actually win if you’re the dominant player which is how it should be.
I don’t see the point of me joining a game I have no control over seeing as the entire other team has map control and power weapons and I’ve got people on my team who are probably going to quit out anyway as there doesn’t seem to be any penalty for people quitting of being AFK.
The main reason I play halo is IMO it’s the most balanced shooter series there is and more often than not the best player wins. Implementing kill streaks coupled with a drop in drop out feature makes it unfair.
If ranked somehow includes a drop in drop out I’m selling the game.

i’d like to see your information where you objectively prove that more positive game experience came from the original system than the current system.
The amount of people posting on these forums who want the old halo back? Or any of the numerous other forums with complaints of all the similarities to Call of Duty.
I play to win, and everytime i join a game that seems to be un-winnable i want to open my window with the xbox. I do love epic comebacks, so it’s fun to try and see if you can turn the game around!

people have whined at every single change that previous games made as well, this is evidence of nothing.
While this happened a couple of times, it will happen rarely later on. The reason for this is that the game is still adjusting your skill level. It has happened to me much less often now, actually. I recently joined a game where my teammates were a man down and losing 340-410 or something. When I joined and we all worked together as a team, we won about 600-520. And now i only sometimes join sessions in progress because my skill level is a little bit adjusted now and they couldn’t find people of the same skill in the middle of a game, so i joined one where the voting session just started. Point is, it will happen less often when your skill level is adjusted in the system.
This isn’t COD. Please make is so games only start when all the available players are ready. hate joining games in progress, becaseu everytime i join a game in progress, my team is losing and i have to backpack the team if i really wanna win.
Joining games like that is a great challenge and can provide good practice.
I joined a game today, scores about 400-50 most of the time i was the only player on my team, as everyone that joined would quit shortly after, so i played conservatively (i camped a bit with camo to be honest) and i tried to isolate their players 1 at a time, but they were a party of 4 and i was not able to execute this so well, but none the less i ended up with a possitive K/D 18-10 at end game and recieved lots of abuse in the lobby after game. So i think i did pretty well on this occasion, most of the time it is very hard to get in to one of these games because every player on the other team has some type of ordanance and your pretty out gunned. But hang in there, this type of play can improve your skills.
