tl;dr Just add the OPTION to FILTER matchmaking. People who love joining games in session can still do it! People who don’t won’t be forced into games in session! Give people who join games in session maybe a little extra XP or something. I don’t care. Just give us options and filters!
Joining games in session and being queued up with pre-made teams of 4.
Get rid of it or stop forcing me into matches already in session and stop putting me up against 4 people on microphones or at least attempt to put me into a game session that is slightly fair.
I am not interested in joining a 400 to 10 match where the enemy team already has key choke-points, powers weapons and vehicles.
Sorry, but I do not feel like being run over, sniped, and having my -Yoink- handed to me because the enemy team has been steam-rolling my team for like 10 minutes already!
I don’t know whether or not I’ll get banned, because I refuse to play and simply quit when I am put into unfair games like this.
And believe me- I’ve tried. I will give it my best shot but being sniped over and over by sniper rifles and DMR, or being killed by shotguns, swords, etc. and dying 10 times in like 10 seconds is ridiculous.
I believe the biggest cause of these games where people keep quitting is the fact that you have some people who made squads of 4 or whatever number depending on game mode and they simply steam-roll every random team filled with random people with the majority without a microphone.
At least put into place some matchmaking filters and settings. Is that so much to ask for?
- Queue up with solo queue players like myself.
- Queue up for brand new match.
- Disable Joining in Session games.
- Seek best connection players.
This would take like a couple hours to implement c’mon 343, this was suppose to be the BEST Halo these complaints should have been addressed before the game was released.

you bring up a good point. I think they are trying to encourage team play, but that doesn’t work when you play solo. I think your solution would work, but who knows if they will put it in.
I agree, joining game in session kind of screws up the game. Hopefully 343i can fixx this before they jump onto something else.
if you didnt suck you could be put on a losing team and you could bring your team back for a win like i have done many times on COD…
Join in progress needs to have an option to be disabled NOW!
I’m serious. Two of my last played game were thus:
CTF on Complex (the most one sided mess I’ve seen yet) with the ‘team’ I joined on to, only having 1 player against 4, and was 3 flags down already. What -Yoink- is this I thought?
Then, 2 games later I search in ITS, I recognize the fact that I’ve joined a game in progress and my heart sinks… Low and behold, I get into the game and I hear my new team mates complaining over the mic that they will be going negative this game. It can’t be that bad I think, but wait… When I’m able to get the score screen up the score is 550-140!!! And I’ve been put on the losing team?
WTF?
This is not why I play Halo!

Him practicing won’t help when he joins a game with a team that is already lost.
There should be options to for players to choose to NOT join a game-in-progress and 343 should fix the JIP so that I won’t join a lop-sided game.

I don’t need “breaks” for a game, because games are my breaks. Some of us don’t play games all day- don’t be so quick to assume everyone plays Halo 24/7.

I actually have carried a losing team several times. Your argument is invalid. The fact that I have to try 10x harder than the enemy team because I joined a match that is almost over is unfair and gives the enemy team an unfair advantage.
