I’m not sure why this feature was added? I picked up Halo 4 today, played through the campaign, was pretty cool, hopped in to some multiplayer and my first three games were surprisingly good, I’ve got 3-0 win/loss and about a 5 k/d. Go in to my fourth game feeling pretty confident. I join a game of infinity slayer, my team is 110, the enemy team is on 440. I, of course, got smashed. This doesn’t seem overly fair on me. Of course it sucks for the team who had a person back out, but if I join a game that’s 110-440, we’re still going to lose, just I get my stats lowered as well as the other three. I’m not overly worried about stats, it was just cool that they were so high, and I feel like I got gamed in to them being lowered. I wouldn’t mind if I joined my fourth game, got beaten and that was that. But I joined a game I had no chance of winning in, and barely a chance at doing well since the entire enemy team had tonnes of ordnance.
tl;dr QQ After a nice streak of games I joined a game where my team was losing by 33 kills, I don’t think that should happen.
I’m not sure on the penalties for leaving, if someone could fill me in that’d be great. One thing I’ve always liked about Halo is that usually people stick it out in games, even if they’re losing. Now in the few games I’ve played since the one in question, a lot of people have quit out. Hopefully this’ll die down as the game matures a bit.
