join in progress

I know many people don’t like the idea of joining games due to the fear of joining a losing team but to me joining in progress makes the game fair. every once in a while the enemy team quits and there is only one player left and my entire team has all 4 players, to me that’s is very unfair, or if you’re in the team that has quitting players it makes you want to quit just because you’re eventually going to be alone if you don’t. slayer is supposed to be a 4v4 not a 4v3, not a 4v2, and not a 4v1, although a 4v3 doesn’t seem that bad that one missing player could make difference, and just because you join a losing team doesn’t mean you’re going to lose, if you and some other player join the team it will be full again and you could have a chance at winning. So I feel that the full version of halo 5 needs join in progress

I wasn’t expecting 343 to add that feature into the beta, though I have no problem with it.

JIP for social would be alright. But leave it out of ranked please.

No, every person who joins to make the team fair is usually joining a loosing team.

YES YES YES!!! I AGREE!!! I have been asking for JIP since it wasn’t in TMCC. JIP worked VERY well in H4 especially in BTB. So I am hoping JIP will come later in the H5 beta or at least for H5 BTB. Otherwise if players get disconnected or go AFC, or leave, players are uneven. Resulting in usually the majority of the team quitting. I hate to quit but from now on if I am the last person on a team, I will indeed quit. In fact in the pre-beta my entire team left in the beginning of the game. Leaving just me. I decided to just run out and let the entire team kill me just to get it over with. Found out it would have been much faster to just leave. Been playing Halo for 10+ years and I usually stay, but not any more.

They could even cut it off half way through the game. After the half way point, no more JIP. Its a win win for everyone. Shorter wait times in the lobby, and the teams stay full. Yes some players that are obsessed with KD or WL might be disappointed but its much better than having an entire team leave.

I have no problem with it existing, so long as I can select not to have it.

Whenever I join a game in progress, I quit instantly. I have zero desire to not play a full game. This is a negative for everyone involved. I get put into a game I don’t want to play, and have my time wasted. The team I join have to wait longer to get a full team so have their time wasted.

Truthfully, not a fan of joining in progress. It’s hard to be competitive when you get tossed in games that are already underway. It sucks to wait a bit longer for a full game and it sucks when people quit, but I think the games in the past (Halo 2-Reach) were better because of the lack of joining mid game.
