Join in progress should not count towards losses

I noticed that no matter when I join a game, whether its the beginning or near the end, if the match is lost it counts towards your winning percentage.

I’m not going to complain about losing if our team fought well and were outplayed, but if I join a grifball game down 4 to 1 and lose in the next minute, then there’s no way it should count towards your percentage. I do take pride in winning games, but when joining a match the stat should not count if you lose.

I’d hate to compare Halo to Call of Duty, but if you join a game in COD and lose, it doesn’t count for the same reasons it shouldn’t here: the player didn’t have the full chance to make an impact and win. Anyone agree?

I suppose it’s only fair, but in all honesty join in progress shouldn’t be an option when games are close to being decided.

So the stat should only count if the outcome changes from the state of the game when you join. If you join a losing game and pull out a win, then you get credit. And vice versa for losses when you joined while winning. I could dig it.

Actually, that dose make a lot of sense. Fair for both situations.

I feel like it shouldn’t count as well. Most of the time I end up joining a loosing game in warzone and we’ll be down like 300+ points or so, or the enemy has already captured all basses. What then. Although, on the odd times, we actually win, but during then I too get disconnected.

That rarely happens.

but if you jip and you are getting smacked on, and you come back and win, you better believe that -Yoink- better count.

joining a losing game should not count as a loss. Just like in Titanfall
(CoD recently implemented this… in BO3 I believe)

You mean it rarely happens to you. You cannot speak to my experience.

I’d like it only so it encourages JIP players to stay in a game.

They need to fix things like this as well. Losing is one thing, but this is on a whole other level.

Umm, no. That rarely happens… Period😉

Anyways, that doesn’t change the fact that it still shouldn’t count as a loss when you jip a losing game.

It made things much more bearable in Titanfall when;

  1. JiP and win: counts as a win
  2. JiP and lose: counts as nothing to the W/L
  3. JiP and quit: counts as a lose.

I recently joined a BTB stronghold match where the score was 0 to 140. I really don’t know how but it happened.
