Join In Progress = REQ Boost Waste?!

Normally, I am never a person to just come on to forums to just complain. But seriously, there should be a “Would you like to join a match in progress?” so that I can know not to waste a Legendary REQ boost. Seriously, why would the game want to put me in a match that was not only a lost cause, but also about 30 seconds from ending? Rant over. Blah, 343 is the worst, blah. (Not really, I’m just frustrated)

correct me if im wrong but isn’t the boost the one that all you have to do is finish the battle in order for it to go through

Ideas for 343:
-Either negate the boost for joining in late
-Add a setting to prevent a “join in progress”
-Be compensated with the exact card IF it is a early shutout.

Not if they’re the ones that require you to be in the top 50% for medals, kills, etc. It’s alright, I guess. I just got a little frustrated that I missed out on a decent boost that I could’ve probably earned, had I joined a complete game.

If it was just a legendary req boost you just have to finish the game. Your boost will be a bit lower than normal in an in progress but a legendary will still grant you a decent amount of req points. Though a setting to not join in progress games would be nice. Or just don’t take boosts if you join an in progress. That’d also work.

That’s the scary thing. It’s difficult to determine if you’re about to join an in progress game. Ideally, this can be avoided if a player searches with a team. Still it isn’t a great alternative. The situation with boosts is a gamble before you even play a game and it is unfair.

if the picture in the backround doesn’t change when the game is loading then its a join in progress.

It already does turn off. Everytime I’ve joined in progress, the boosts were deactivated

As in the game doesn’t take the boost from you if you join an in progress. Not using boosts in fear of in progress games is a bit of a waste. Sorry for wording my last comment quite poorly.

Its easy to see if you join a game.

If you find a normal game, the Background will turn into the map you are about to play. (Apex, Stormbreak, A.R.C)

But if you find players but the “searching” background doesnt change, you are about to join in progress.

There you go, no more wasting boosts
