Join-in progress issue

I believe that we need join-in progress if 343i decides to have ranked and social playlists. Although it should only stay in social because it wouldn’t allow a fair rank in the ranked playlist having random people join-in, possibly causing ridiculous lag. In the ranked playlist, it doesn’t fix the issue of killing the same person 50 times or until the clock runs out. That’s why 343i should allow players on the team with people that quit to have a pop-up after respawning away from danger saying “forfeit or stay” (or using d-pad left and right). You would need everyone that’s left on your team to forfeit or you’ll be forced to keep playing,either that or just quit and lose points. When a team forfeits, they gain no points and don’t deduct points, as if you didn’t play (but the opposing team can still gain what they could). I think it should be done so it doesn’t cause too much problems.

If 343i doesn’t decide to have ranked and social playlists to have one big playlist, then something is wrong with them. Just forget having a rank to add in join-in progress. The rankings would be broken if we had one big playlist. You notice the issues in Reach. Guests playing on MLG gametype. What a joke.

Join in progress is probably impossible to implement in ranked. I can’t see any way of it working, due to it not being able to track stats for the majority of the game. Joining during the middle of the game may also be while your team is losing, causing you to get deranked.

I think it’s social-only, or non-competitive only.

My main problem with it is joining in a game where half of he team that you’re now on is gone and you are down by a lot. So basically getting screwed over when you join a game.

Seems to work fine in every-other FPS

If you don’t mind coming into a COD game losing 6500-1700 and getting blasted by 3 AC-130s.

Yeah, that’s tons of fun. No thanks–I am unequivocally against this idea in H4 and hope it is not implemented.
