You call this balanced? Are you proud of yourselves?

You’ll drop me in a game where my team is 30 points down, (https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-5-guardians/xbox-one/mode/arena/matches/ae081b02-0eec-4522-b738-61e10a5b8631/players/morpheus414?gameHistoryMatchIndex=6&gameHistoryGameModeFilter=Arena) but in Ranked games it’s every man for themselves? I get punished if I quit(and they don’t) and I get punished if I stay. Do you honestly think that was a good idea?

This is false. The first leaver in a ranked match gets a ban and a CSR penalty. After that, the rest of the team can leave without worrying about a ban (you still take a CSR loss for losing the match, of course). You could have left that SWAT match after those first two quitters and just taken the loss without worrying about a ban (it’s called “soft forfeit”, and it’s been in Halo 5 since May 2017).
JIP is disabled for ranked play because no one wants to be thrown into a ranked match starting at a disadvantage. That’s why every ranked match starts fresh, and thereby starts with both teams on a level playing field in terms of score. If JIP were enabled for ranked matches, people would complain about jip-ping into a losing match and losing CSR over it.
BTB has that and it’s annoying cause you do lose CSR. It sucks for the Fiesta game, but it is social so I don’t think it’s the end of the world.
