Join In Progress And Backing Out Of Lobbies

I can no longer tolerate halo 4’s matchmaking system. It is practically impossible to go into a playlist by yourself without getting tossed into the middle of a game where 99% of the time your team is already losing. In any other game this normally wouldn’t be a problem, but when I am trying to play to increase my CSR in playlists that are team based, it is not properly reflecting my performance as a player. It isn’t like this is a rare occurrence either, I get thrown into more in progress games than fresh lobbies at a ratio I would say is 5:1. It’s ruining the online experience for me and I am looking for solutions. I know it is less likely to JIP with a group but I don’t always have people to play with, which makes searching by myself almost painful.

I would love to see this changed in some way for the next halo game. In my opinion I would like to see the playlists broken down to a ranked and social playlist option like halo 3. Leave the current JIP and backing out of lobbies for Social, but make it lock in the players for ranked matches so no one can leave or JIP.

That is all I wanted to say, keep up the good work 343i. I would love to hear any opinions or feedback on this topic.

dedicated rage quitters will turn off their xbox :stuck_out_tongue:

no seriously, i think 90 % of the entire halo community would like to see that system of social and ranked matches come back.
But, making it impossible to leave, even in ranked matches, is not an option.

My apologies, I didn’t make it clear enough. I meant to say that they would be unable to back out of the lobby when I said “No one can leave.”

oh okay.
i think backing out of lobbies shouldn’t be possible in social either, since this is more of a glitch than an actual ‘option’

The problem is halo 4 likes to throw people in to games that are paty based. Parties should be matched with parties, and that’s how it is. When it CAN. Unfortunately, due to the low population of halo 4 there are not alwasy enough parties to match up, so it throws lone wolves in with communitave and highly skileld teams. It’s bull crap and needs to stop.

As for the Join in Progess, 343 made a partial success, but did not go all the way. We NEED join in progress for certain games. Big team needs it. I know I never liked those games where the enemy team slowly dwindled to one over time, until the last person FINALLY quit. But at the same time, getting thrown in to a game where you are down by two or three hundred points is unfair as well. They need a join in progress, but a large penalty for leaving. If you leave, lose xp, and count it as a loss, or something to discourage it. But at the same time, leave join in progess for those losers that do leave (and hey, sometimes people gotta go). Also, if an enemy team is up by a large amount, it should either not throw anybody in and allow a back out of 1 or 2 people without penalty, or prioritize the fillup.

343 did a partial success, as people have always left in halo. However, without a penatly there is even MORE leaving.

that’s why i suggest playlists like team slayer where u can’t play with parties (besides the normal ones)
but that would only work if the population is high enough
