JOIN IN MIDDLE OF A MATCHMAKING GAME AND BETTER MAPS!

It is so irratating when it’s 1 on 4 because all your teammates left and you know it’ll be that way 'til the end of the game. But what if we could finally join mid-game in Halo 4? And make the matchs, as well, about 20 or so kills longer. And another thing is to fix the betrayl-boot system because that is in total wack and I’m sure most will agree. One last thing is to have more maps like Headlong from Halo 2 were it’s big, outside and inside and just overall a great layout for any game type, plus all the vehicles too! In Halo Reach I can’t even remember the last time I used a Gauss or Rocket Hog…

Yah i hate when teammates leave.

I’m really anti-better maps…

Play Big team battle, its great and has both rocket and gauss hogs. I don’t think we should have people join mid game. It just doesn’t seem like halo, and trust me Im entirely for change in halo but there are some core elements that shouldn’t change. Like being able to look down your site opposed to hip firing. That should never change. You should try different playlists if you want them to last longer but the betrayal boot system definitely needs some work.

Yeah it’s also irritating when you join a game with 1 player and it’s 50 points to win and it’s 49 to 13 and everyone else quit because they are losing and you get a loss for no reasonable manor and waste your time. No

your first few ideas seem very Call of Duty-esque. but yes headlong was amazing!!

Joining mid-game would ruin the game.

What’s worse, playing 1v4 with the chance to completely embarrass the other team, or finding a game that is already 49-20?

The latter. But even worse is when it loads the map, you join, and it ends instantly, don’t even get to move lol.

I agree, especially if there is a win/loss ranking system.

Exactly. And I think a drop-in/drop-out matchmaking system would just encourage more quitting.

No definitely not for the in game joining. Especially if we are to get a ranking system. Its just too CoD. Im not sure why but a lot of the threads on here are about changing things to CoD like mechanics.

Please just let this game be reminiscent of past halo titles while still putting a fresh spin on the franchise. I appreciate that reach tried to do this, it didnt quite work but i feel like it took a few steps in the right direction. So enough with the CoD nonsense please.

I have a great feeling about the maps though. 343 really understand that you cant just lift maps from the campaign and call it a day.

What if you have a full party, ut one of your friends quits and you do fine, but then a random noob joins and start betraying or just bringing the team down?

I don’t agree with joining mid-game. For me, I love Halo multiplayer because it encourages a type of gameplay where you learn your opponents’ tactics throughout the game and adjust accordingly. Also, forcing the opposing team to quit is satisfying for the victor.

While I do hate being down a teammate or two, I’d rather 343i be harsher on quitters than allow mid-game joins.

Yes, just don’t allow it in Ranked Playlists, and penalize accordingly for quitters.

lol what? Maybe you like seeing people quit, but I don’t feel any satisfaction winning a 4v1.

OT: Joining mid game is a terrible idea. Imagine if they bring back the 1-50 rank system and you join a game thats 49-20 and your on the opposite team and as soon as you spawn you hear “Game Over” and you drop down two ranks without even getting the chance to take a shot. The better way to handle the rage quitting issue is to make more ranked playlists. People who quit excessivly will never get past lv. 25 because they quit too many games, and people who are in the high ranks like 40-50 wont want to quit because they will want to keep and/or improve their rank. A 15 minute ban for quitting like 10 games is nothing, and since theres nothing to work for, people have no reason to not quit.

I think they should make a playlist where you can join and leave games without penalty or anything but the games are ridiculously long and have large rosters.

Like 1 hour time limit and score to win 1000.

It wouldn’t be a playlist about winning or losing but just fun to feel like you’re in an actual war or something.

Of course there would be so many factors to look into before actually considering it but it’s just an idea I think would be cool.

In the progression playlists I would say ya thats fine.

But in competitive playlists no joining mid game.

And the poll votes show us what Halo really needs. There is too many negatives that mid-game joining brings. It renders team game-types into a free-for-all. It discourages teamwork. Teamwork is a staple in Halo. Ok, less so in Reach, but Halo 4 is a chance to return to the team oriented game-play instead of going further in the other direction.

Join midgame only for social bigteam.
