Hey! I’m making a discord server that will be a “Valhalla” for gamers (see what I did there). No matter what games you play, whether you’re competitive or casual, or want to make friends you are welcome to join. THIS IS NOT A SPARTAN COMPANY NOR HALO EXCLUSIVE.
Some Q/A’s
Why did you decide to make this? / Well I always have trouble getting a full party for whatever game I’m playing and every community I’ve joined was just kind of inactive or dramatic. I want a place where I can hang with my friends I make online, a place where it is easy to get a full lobby going, and promote the betterment of gaming in a general way.
Is there a criteria for games in order to join? / No you and your friends can join no matter what games you play. You don’t HAVE to play Halo, Overwatch, Cod or Gears, etc. The server is XBOX based, meaning a majority of the gamers will be primary xbox players and the main channels for partying up will be games playable on Xbox. But I will have a channel for “Other” where you can get your other consoles’ games in there and party up. If I see a particular game get many party up requests I’ll make a channel for it.
How do I join? / Simply message me here or my GT: TheIronMitten
Isn’t this like LFG? / Yes and No. You can post a “party up” at anytime, but unlike lfg there is no character limit to your messages, it will represent a multitude of games, and I consider everyone in my discord a friend and I hope you do as well. Not to mention you can add notifications to your phone to see who wants to party up or who has mentioned you.
Are their ranks or positions within the channel? / No, as far as I’m concerned we are all equal. I will do my best to guide you guys to making friends and exploring games and I will take advice to make the server more efficient, but everyone striving for a position causes riots and power-crazes. Trust me.
How is the discord managed? / I will moderate spammers and add/remove members ; however, I am not a dictator. You can speak freely about anything even not related to games. I promote a stress free environment so anything chaotic will be addressed but I do not harshly deal with anyone. I am the final say but it’s only really when I’m editing the server.
What content is on the server? / There is general discussion and party up channels of course. I will also include a media channel for any photos, videos, links, polls and other related material to be shared, even your own Twitch channel. A question/answer page will be available as well to efficiently get your questions and concerns addressed. I will probably add/remove channels based on their use and request of the members.
