Johnson's Role Needs Filling

As you all recall from Halo 3, Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson, the only human to witness both the beginning and the end of the Human-Covenant war, died at roughly age 60. And now, as Halo 4 nears release, we must know: who will step into his standard-issue VZG7 armored boots? Will we be seeing a new character? Or will Gunnery Sergeant Stacker or Edward Buck be making their return? Maybe even another beloved, well-known Sergeant? Who do you want to see, community?

(also, what do you think of my Sarge design? I threw it together one day when I was bored)

Sarge ! lol

seriously Buck would be cool

Sarge! Everyone loves Sarge.

Let me grab my Shot-gun!

Sarge should come back again. When they ask how he survived he’ll reply, “It’s classified gunny”. LOL

Reference to Halo 2 for those of you who aren’t veterans

Hey, I’m sure there’d by a canonical explanation for it. Sarge trains one group on the Infinity, and Lt. Miller (see Reconstruction, ep. 3) trains another?

but Sarge is from the 21st century … how could he live that long lol

Nope. Grif states in the first season that he joined the army to fight aliens, then got stuck fighting the Blues because the Chief destroyed the Covenant armada, suggesting Sarge lives in at lease 2552. And Reconstruction is said to take place in 2556.

Cryosleep.

I say new character. Could be another Sargent. I personally don’t like Buck, I don’t like his personality.

Don’t spoil anything for me, if it cant happen then just say cant happen if you must reply to me. I think Senior Chief Petty Officer Franklin Mendez would be awesome.

I’d love to see Mendez, but I think he won’t be seen until 5 or 6.

Stacker needs SOME credit for surviving Installation 04.

Maybe, but Buck might make an appearance.

pete stacker cant be back without chips dubbo…

and they both better be in halo 4

I don’t believe Stacker or Dubbo were canon. Besides, we don’t need a replacement Johnson.

He’s dead, Jim.

lol, sorry couldn’t resist.

We need another sassy black man with a moustache. I vote this guy.

What if Sergeant Johnson had a son? . . .

> What if Sergeant Johnson had a son? . . .

Very unlikely. He might’ve had a wife, but Johnson was married to the Marine Corps. al-Cygni (?) was just a little affair.

What of that affair happened to make a small Johnson Jr?
