Just one of those things.
Since Johnson seemed to have lost his hat somewhere before we see him in the ark with the prophet of truth he seems to have lost his army cap. So it must be somewhere on the ark.
So do you think that we will see his hat on Halo Infinite if we happen to travel to the ark in it as some form of easter egg or something.
Important question I know, so just try to keep your cool when answering this question that must be one of the greatest mysteries of Halo.
So some of you may think that it got disintegrated with the unfortunate incident with premature firing of Halo right next to the ark and that it went out with a bang but just think if its a legend like Johnson and it survived that. Obviously how it survived would be classified.
You know, I’ve never really thought about it. I assumed he lost it while being captured, but when we travel to the place his squad was we never see it.
Didn’t realize there was such a gaping plot hole in Halo 3. Totally ruins the game and perhaps the entire series for me. I’m sure 343i will address this problem and clean up the gigantic mess Bungie made.
The ladies liked him better without the hat, so he ditched it.
Fun little easter egg idea btw, now if we go to the Ark again I’ll have to hunt for it lol.
Edit: I believe he actually lost it when he was captured by the brutes, so it’s probably still in the third tower near the Arks manual ring activation sight.

He also had his hat when he was on video communication with Chief and Arbiter when they had left high charity and were heading towards the incomplete Halo but he had lost it once again when they joined outside the control room.
So the question now is that was that the same hat or just some imposter trying to stay on top of Johnsons head.
If its the first option then could it be that the hat is some ultimate object in the Halo universe?
Also, what is that darker hat he wears in Halo 3: ODST? Was that the hat in the video communication given the screen was all blue so it could have been either one. And if that is the case then is there actually 2 Johnsons army caps on the ark?
We must go deeper on this ultimate question of the Halo universe.

This conspiracy goes to deep. You’d better stop before you end up in Midnight.
That would be an awesome Easter egg, finding it in a place you need to do some nade jumping to get to.

Though why wouldnt it be found by shooting a lightbulb with a spartan laser?
I mean nade jumping is fine but usually its more of a skull acquiring or speedrun strats thing.
