johnsons first leader power

I figure we could give the line of sight increase for the bases and thee\ captured pojnts detection as well, the detect range would be the same as a watchtower

so give every biilding and capture point detection? i mean i could see how this would be op but on the other hand johnsons passive need reworks.

like for his first passive give his troops 25% range buffs. thats range and on line of sight.

his second one digging in could just be buffes, i tested it and digging in 2 turrets barely siphen health it almost like boundless siphen value. 1% is not acceptable fir base defence, 8% per attack is. his passives need to be impactful.

his final passive needs like a 50% base income increase ontop of free buildings, it would justify his mech costs.

nah it wont be op. his siphons feel fine to me

Johnson sight passive allow his controlled nodes to have detect. I like that.
Siphon turret is ok. Power
Bunker power take population requirement away.
Emp blast is very nice
Id like to see Mantis cost reduced to 300.
Increase range on Collossus
Dig in Deeper make 1 point and allow turrets to be free also.

I think he needs a different final power instead of Digging in Deep
Take that digging in Deep final ability and make it the reward for investing 2 points in Digging In. That way at your third leader power you have to choose between EMP Mac Blast and free buildings and it would have more effect on the game. By the time you unlock Digging in Deep, you likely have 2 fully built upon bases, making the power only good in base swap scenarios which is a rare sight and way too niche.

Someone once mentioned giving him a Banished Scarab Drop as his last leader point. I think that would work. Fits the Mech theme, could benefit from mech overcharge, and Johsnon has had experiences with piloting Scarabs in lore. Would make him a highly unique UNSC leader, and that drop to me would be just as powerful as Omega Team is so it shouldn’t break the game.

if uw anna give him a scarab, give him one from halo 2, it will be less poweerful than banish scarabs but cost less pop and resources, similar to the retriever sentinel. also there would only be on halo 2 scarab that johnsons can have at a time

That’s great and all. I would love this. But lets be realistic here. Johnson already came out. The team has moved on to making new units for Serena, Yap Yap, and ATN. I think asking them to go back and model, animate, and balance a new lower pop scarab is asking too much. Just give him a Banished scarab. There’s no reason the Spirit of Fire couldn’t capture a scarab or two. We did it in the campaign.
