So I was thinking a what if thing. If Johnson survived and kept on kicking do you think that he would be commander of the Infinity Spartans over Palmer. That aside would you like him over Palmer, why or why not?

Yeah I miss him. I wonder if he would even be a Spartan. Either way we miss him, we don’t care if it is a giant hula hoop and we will always call him cupid.
He wouldn’t command Spartans. He would remain a Marine, even though he respects them. He would still be able to kick her butt though.

Honestly, I don’t get this mentality that Johnson would choose to remain a Marine instead of a Spartan-IV. The guy is already a Spartan-1 considering he participated in the ORION Project. And I think he would do anything to better ensure the safety of humanity. If Buck would become one even with the tensions between ODSTs and Spartans, why wouldn’t Johnson?
The man was a proud marine and the corps his family and i doubt anything could have pried him away from them. And even if he’d joined the spartans, the position of spartan Commander is equivalent to a high-ranking officer and i doubt Johnson, a lifetime NCO, would have wanted anything to do with it.

First of all, Buck turned it down a butt load of times first. Second, he had just lost a close friend of his, thus screwing with his decision making. I’m still pissed he abandoned the ODST’s but that is neither here nor there. But Johnson is more set in stone than Buck is. He also loves to be boots on the ground with the normal grunts instead of doing spec ops runs for ONI.
Also, like in today’s military, there are those who just like to stay where they are. Wouldn’t it be realistic that Johnson wish to remain a Marine? Not everyone wants to be special forces.

Not nessicerily, Johnson has more experience than Palmer and he knows what Spartans can do. Johnson survived Arbiter and Palmer can’t even shoot an unarmed ONI agent in the chest. So my opinion still stands that Johson would win.
Ever read Contact Harvest? He’d never become a Spartan. Too much of a hardcore Marine.
Besides, his ORION history might prevent it.
Here is my opinion Johnson was one hell of a marine and it took Allot of Covenant The Arbiter 343 Guilty Spark to take him out and you think a single spartan other than the Master Chief can do that? Yall are crazy this isnt even a Question Palmer would just drop dead in about 3 to 10 seconds like that And reasons I say that is His S I History gives him Way more experience I know S IVs have better armor but so would Johnson all armor is improved during the change of the Tech so Johnson wouldnt even need any Armor with his experience all he would need is a Knife So those who think Palmer would win Armor just keeps you alive its Skill that counts and as far as I can see Palmer aims like a Storm Trooper as for the facts She has a clear shot at Doctor Halsey and she misses the kill shot and hits the Arm just like a Stormy dose S IVs are more of a Canon Fodder than S IIIs So this is more facts that Armor dosnt mean -Yoink!- without the Experience and Skill and as for Lock if yall are going to ask then why is he so skilled as an S IV? He got Rekt by Arbiter, he was unconscious after like 4 seconds. And we are talking about the Palmer that has killed other Spartans in CQC and ripped a Warzone hunter apart with her bare hands.

This, Johnson was already an Orion participant and the S-IVs are what the Orions were supposed to be. Why would he not sign up for it.
Edit* Johnson vs Arbiter lasted 8 seconds in the original and 10 seconds remastered. In both cases Arbiter pins Johnson within 6 seconds.

Uh, he got quickly taken out by both Thel and 343. I’m talking mere seconds on both cases. So yes, a single Spartan could definitely take him out.

And yall are crazy who say he could easily beat Palmer. Come on people, she’s augmented and encased in MJOLNIR battle armor. You’re talking about a slightly augmented soldier going against a heavily augmented super soldier in powered armor. There really is no comparison.

Uh, no. Without the armor he gets beaten. Even if he were to be augmented and outfitted, it brings the fight closer, but by no means makes it a complete knockout.

Actually, armor enhances the IVs, so it’s more than just keeping them alive. And while I do agree her shot was bad in SpOps, Halsey had plot armor protecting her.

First off, S-IIIs aren’t cannon fodder. They are dispensable soldiers, but that doesn’t mean they were meant to just die. Second off, it’s been demonstrated that the IVs are more than just cannon fodder themselves. There are the bad apples of the bunch, but I’d wager we’ve seen more IVs get the job done than ones that are just “cannon fodder.”

He was actually an Acquisition Specialist, not ODST.

The IIIs were trained 4-6 years of age, not teenagers. And just because IVs weren’t trained from childhood doesn’t mean they cannot be destructive killing machines, either.

Johnson got his -Yoink- kicked in seconds and he had Miranda helping him simple fact you can’t beat someone in fair fight who is far stronger, faster and has better reaction times than you.
I am not to sure what would happen to Johnson, he was one of the first spartans, so it would be interesting to see. Would he remain a marine, or would he join the Spartan 4 program. Either way, I miss Johnson, such a fun and badass character.
JOHNSON was an original Spartan. The Orion project later reclassified as a Spartan 1 program had Johnson as a subject. If anything, he would’ve helped design and run the Spartan 4 program with Jun. I like him better than Palmer. Palmer is too flip floppy. One minute she’s all gun gardening tool to kill Halsey then all of sudden it’s all good. I hate to sound sexist but that chick needs a pill. lol. or at least some time to relax or something. Palmer is way to uptight.
He does know what the Ladies like and Palmer is a lady. Prediction: Johnson gets a broken hip from Palmer riding too hard after he showed her what the ladies like. Both lay there and both have a cigar in their mouth with smiles on their faces. LOL
