we’re missing a character like him a badass marine it would be amazing if it was a new AI of any kind of marine of some sort. i know you need brain to become an AI but still maybe they did a brain scan from when he had his augmentation? bringing back halo to its original roots is important an people forget how big of a role he was to the game.
watching the cutscenes from blur studios from halo 2: anniversary was amazing and made me even realize how great this style was and how great johnson was
its a game anything can happen he survived the first halo ring explosion why cant he be an AI??

A brainscan would not work as you need an actual brain as a template. This would obviously require a body, which the UNSC does not have seeing as how Johnson’s body was vaporized. Also I would not be happy seeing Johnson come back, it would only cheapens his death and makes no sense lore wise.
Not saying we need Johnson himself back, but just his type of character and personality would be great. It would be a nice change over so e of the characters thrust upon us as main characters in h5…I’m looking at you Locke…
I love Johnson. I really do, but if he appears at any point after the events of Halo 3 I won’t be happy. It would be like bringing back Cortana after she died in Halo 4. Surely, they’d never do something that stupid.

That’s nowhere close to being true. I’d say a good majority of the fanbase is against him coming back because it would make the story outlandish and stupid.
why bring back dead people? that would cheapen their death in previous games (looking at you guilty spark).
i think it would be a better aproach to create good new charackters. but not just a copy of an old one. i know it’s difficult to write good charackters, but imo it’s cheap or a to easy copout just to bring back well liked charackter from the dead

This is the most immature post I’ve ever read and it completely invalidates your opinion.
It would completely throw out johnsons death scene in halo 3. That entire portion of the game wouldn’t feel meaningful anymore and it doesn’t make narrative sense. In case you haven’t noticed there was a lot of backlash when Cortana was revived, and there were ways that she could’ve been brought back better but only because she was an ai, a physical human being that was vaporized wouldn’t make sense to bring back. And the excuse of “we scanned his brain a long time ago” is absolutely horrible logic and just plain bad story writing for 3 reasons
Why hasn’t it been mentioned before it’s been decades and this ai or brain scan was never used? - Ai have a life span of 7 years. I am fairly certain the unsc doesnt wait 2 or 3 decades to turn a scan into an ai. It’s immediate which means even if they did make an ai it would have died off or gone rampant long ago - That implies he died before the events of the games because they can’t make an ai off of a living person. The only time it has been done was with Cortana and that wasnt even from hasley, it was from her clone.The only sensible way to have Johnson back is to include him in a prequel. That being said I would mind a game where we play as Johnson during the human-covenant war.
Oh my god that would be incredible, never even considered that, I would be so happy. I think him in Chief’s helmet would be an awesome replacement for Cortana.
Not in canon please, but as some kind of multiplayer AI or announcer should be fine. Bring him back as an AI in story is too cheap, he died heroically, let him rest in peace.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Johnson, but I would rather he stayed dead. I would prefer the introduction of new memorable characters instead of just trying to hold on to someone for nostalgia purposes
I don’t think Johnson needs to come back. His character wouldn’t serve any purpose outside of fan-service. Besides, there currently isn’t a way to bring him back as an AI anyway outside of a non-canon deal for multiplayer, maybe.

Sorry I don’t even need to read this to say, bringing Johnson back would ruin Halo for me as he Died in Halo 3. I’d rather not ruin the bad -Yoink- way he went out with a bang. Let’s just face it, he’s gone. I think Captian Lasky was a nice touch for a replacement.

A brain scan isnt a brain clone.I miss him also,but there is no way they can bring him back in a believable way
