EDIT: This thread was mostly a joke but you could put Johnson in a joke cutscene for like a legendary ending. Maybe during it you could look up or have a separate scene and see Johnson in heaven scoring with the ladies. Though I don’t want him back in the main campaign. I do, but it wouldn’t make sense.
It could be like the joke cutscene in Halo 1 Legendary ending. It would be sort of funny because they’re both the beginning of a trilogy and would both have a joke cutscene with Johnson.

Well you could right click, copy link location, and paste it somewhere.

On Cortana, there is a hidden skull that doesn’t do anything. If you take it, and beat the entire level while holding it, you will start off on Halo with a Spartan Laser. I think the keeping Johnson alive “glitch” was actually an easter egg, but people used the other way to get Johnson’s Laser. 343 could use this to keep him alive.

Well he was able to miraculously survive the destruction of the Halo ring in Halo CE, that was an explosion. "but this is speculation on my part"

Johnson survived by getting on a Pelican with a few other survivors.
All of the other humans and Elites were accounted for and the only things still “alive” on the ring were Arbiter, the Chief, him, the Sentinels, and the Flood up until Arbiter and the Chief left. Plus, the control room exploded.
