He’s been in cryo, so his hair hasn’t grown much at all. At best, it might be a couple inches long, but no more than that.
He would look like your average short brown hair with a 5 o’clock shadow hero.
seeing as most military even while on active duty tend to either keep it cropped close military regulation, or completely shaved. Now as for color i would say brown/blond/dirty blond.
^Yeah, I was thinking something along the lines of Carter’s hair. Maybe shorter and a sandy color.

I was gonna say really long, but then I saw the comment about it not growing in cryo sleep. So probably short and brown (I’m pretty sure it’s actually brown too).
It was said in The Fall Of Reach novel by Eric Nylund that John’s hair is brown and is kept short on most occasions. Only growing in times of extended battle. So yes, I’m sure its probably medium length, only a few inches in length.

Half a year is a lot of time for hair to grow…based on his genetics.
And its technically before Halo 2, I just meant that he probably last trimmed it for his award ceremony.

Haha, I doubt that. I think its brown and short, like a military cut. But thats not 100%. I bet it says something about it in one of the Halo books, there’s a Halo book out there that talks about John’s childhood isnt there…? Well not his childhood but when he was in training. It showed a picture of him doing a handstand, and it looked like what I described, I cant find the picture online though (I forgot where I saw it).

Please tell me more. Like where it has been stated ever that John has superior hair growing abilities because of his genetics.
He’s gotta shave! Do you know how annoying a beard can get?!?! And chief doesn’t really have time to stop in the middle of a battle to itch his face!
