Since whinging about this seems to be flavour of the month, lets do some maths about the problems caused by people quitting.
I’ll use BTB as an example as the maps were bigger and the effect was greater when people dragged out games.
Imagine a game of BTB that’s 5 minutes in when a player quits from Red Team becase Blue team have taken all the vehicles and are dominating the,. Now the rest of Red Team has to be a player down for 10 minutes. Now in any group of 7 people it’s likely that there will be at least 1 person who says “-Yoink- this I"m not going to try” and also quits, it is now 8 on 6. Any chance Red team has to win is now gone for all intents and purposes. All they can do is die until time ends.
Each successive quit makes it worse and worse, until eventually the Blue team members start to get affected as 4 enemies on a BTB map is not fun.
Now imagine the last 4 Red members are stubborn and choose to hide for the last 5 minutes.
The Blue team members have a guaranteed win, and kills as they double team any Red team members they find, as long as they don’t quit, and they don’t mind spending 5 minutes playing hide and seek.
The game ends after 5 minutes of 8 on 4 hide and seek, all 12 players agree that was a colossal waste of time and curse the moron who quit and began the cascade.
Just taking the point where it becomes a game of hide and seek at 5 minutes, and many times this will go on for longer then 5 minutes, that’s 12 players wasting 5 minutes each. Or an hour of time combined which has been wasted.
Compare this to the scenario of a person joining to fill the original quitters position at the 10 minute mark. Both scenario’s may waste time. However you have no one hand 10 minutes wasted for an individual compared to an hour wasted across 12 people.
When people complain about JIP wasting their time, they’re essentially saying that they believe their time is 6 times more valuable then anyone else’s.
Think about that next time you read a thread about it.
Honestly the Game developers must have so little respect for us as a playing group.
Players should be penalized for quitting. Nothing gets the casuals more aware, of not rage quitting, than Reach’s quit-ban system. Mixed with stat penalties and the rage quitters should receive the message.
I also believe that the standard matchmaking system discouraged players from quitting, because their leave was more noticeable and open for criticism.
There can’t be an accurate W/L ratio with JIP.

Is it really that important to see how many times you win or lost? just being curios here.

Yes, I’m competitive. That’s what got me into gaming with Doom/Quake.
every time i join in a game(which is like99% of the time) its really laggy.
and there should be no jip in objective games, or with parties. im getting tired of joining into a ctf game that the team i join is losing 4 to 1
W/L is irrelevant as it affects everyone, so having a W/L percentage which is reduced by 2% due to JIP doesn’t matter as we all have that same penalty.
