Jip is a godsend

Playing my personal fav, Halo 3 has revealed JIP is mandatory. I get 8/10 matches on average where at least half of my team leaves. -_-

Actually can’t WAIT til H5 now.

War zone is confirmed to have JIP

As long as JIP doesn’t cause lag and stalled matches I’m for it. But I don’t want the -Yoink!- that H4 had with matchmaking. That was annoying.

Yeah, they need to do what Titanfall does where if you join a match on the loosing team with too little of time to make a comeback or the enemy is about to win, the loss does not count.

on dedicated servers it shouldn’t be an issue where joining breaks up the game for people already in the lobby, but we will have to wait and see

Titanfall doesn’t have a skill system. JIP and Arena don’t mix. If we’re talking just Warzone then that’s fine.

A skill system that matters. As in, used to set up even matches.

In btb war zone and other casual modes yes.
In other modes no.

Don’t remind me. I felt like I needed a psychiatrist after subjecting myself to that abomination.

This just a hypothesis, but…a lot of people leave a game because they’re losing badly. With JIP, won’t players who join an already active game often have a bad experience because of this ? I’m only speculating…I don’t even think it will but I’m playing devil’s advocate here.

There should either be a score limit when JIP is allowed, or if you join games like that, they shouldn’t count as a win, or loss on your W/L ratio.

JiP is just a Band-Aid for a much larger problem. If people didn’t quit out so often to begin with, it wouldn’t be needed.

No, you’re a realist. That’s exactly what happens. Halo 4 had JIP and I could probably count on 2 hands the number of games I either joined while in the lead or had a chance of making a comeback. The only reason I could even tolerate playing H4 was because of the back-out glitch allowing me to never play JIP. In Warzone, I’m fine with it. But absolutely 100% no-compromise do not want it in Arena.

Alternately, have the option to turn it on/off. Because I’ll have it off the entire time.

Actually, this option should strongly be considered by 343i, because it brings a real benefit to JIP.

For instance, you and I don’t like to enter a game which is half-finished or half-lost. If this happens, then we are likely to quit the game anyway, which negates the interest of JIP. Conversely, there are players who don’t care. Having the option to turn it on/off thus has a double impact: it prevents people like us to be thrown in an already-started game, and it allows people who don’t mind to efficiently replace quitting players. Everyone wins.

But I still don’t want JIP in Arena though.

in arena it would be nice if anyone who leaves a game before it’s finished gets a serious penalty to their rank and people who don’t quit from the game aren’t penalized for loosing a now unfair game. and i agree that the should be no JiP for arena it would ruin the experience for me and you and many others. in CoD, titanfall and most any other game with JIP i constantly join loosing games and spend forever ranking up a massive loss/win ration… or -Yoink- win/loss ratio… you decide, simply because people keep quitting. JIP in a casual game like warzone is great, a good push can turn it around from looks of it

We can’t have this.

People typically quit because they were losing to begin with. This means that the team was already performing worse than the other team before they started quitting so while losing teammates makes an uphill battle more like climbing Mt Everest, it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t still have a loss on record. It’s the curse of playing without a party, that’s just how it is but in order for a skill matching system to work it needs to be unforgiving.
