Just throwing out an idea here for JIP on future Halo games or a later update of this game. Most JIP matches people end of joining the losing team, because let’s face it. The losers are quitting. A lot of people are upset about different aspects of joining an ongoing game (K/D, Gambit, Win/Loss record, etc.). I’ve seen the idea that a player should be able to choose whether or not to join a game in progress but what about giving them incentive to want to join the game.
Examples:
"Would you like to join a game in progress? Score: Red 250 - Blue 500 Bonus: 2.0 X REQ points and 1.5 X XP.
"Would you like to join a game in progress? Score: Red 150- Blue 650 Bonus: 4.0 X REQ points and 3.0 X XP.
This gives the option of not joining (say you used a REQ Gambit and don’t want to lose) and takes away some of the bad feelings around getting stuck in a JIP game. Thoughts?
nice, idea but to be honest i doubt alot of people would join a match even with those incentives. id join the bottum one cause for the most part with out a boost you get more points then the winning team if they also didnt use a boost
We always need to be incentivised (yes I just created a word). Its an unranked playlist people. Stop being so uber competitive in a non-competitive game mode.
JIP is worse than it was before because now you get a reduced amount of RP for “completion” (which is being there from start to finish, I imagine) if you come in quite late.
I’ve actually won some “losing” games recently that I came into and only came out with about 1600 RP. Huge disincentive to stick around, especially if you are a major contributor to the turn around.
