JiP... Has this happened to you?

Last night I was playing with two guests and we went to play some CTF. We got a JiP and were put into a game down only 1-0 on Settler. The problem was our teammates were not playing and the other team was really good. We quit the game.

Next game we get JiP’d… into the same game? Wtf? How broken is your system that I am going to have to risk a quit ban because you JiP’d me into the exact same game twice in less than two minutes?

Can you at least make it so that the coding doesn’t allow for you to join the exact same game you just left? Or does that make too much sense?

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Also happened to me.

There should have been a toggle option so you can choose to join in progress or not.

I searched in the Oddball playlist when that was still around, joined a game in progress. I got into the game and it said ODDBALL, GAME OVER, HOLD THE BALL TO EARN POINTS.

I was like, wut?

Yes. Join-in-progress is pathetic.

Yeah, it’s happened to me before as well. In fact, one time, I was forced to re-join the game I just quit twice in a row… It’s rather annoying, really, since it racks up your quit number several times, even though you’re just quitting from one game.

Is there even a quit ban in this game?

> Is there even a quit ban in this game?

Yes, but it takes a heck of a lot of quitting for it to occur.

Not as much as you think…

If that happened to me, I’d have the strangest combination of rage-quitting and laughing at the same time.

I backed out of the voting for Meltdown, only to be JIP’d in about 20 kills down on my team.

I managed to make a perfect 10-0 game out of it for myself anyway.

Sometimes, but I don’t often leave games, but yes it’s really annoying, I preferred it on Halo: Reach when you weren’t able to join games midway.

the JiP is designed to fill up games with empty spaces, it doesnt take into account the fact that you just quit that match for whatever reason and its not uncommon to find yourself put back into the same match you just quit from

Even better. I searched Grifball with Cheese and K5, we spawned in just in time for the game to end…but we ended up on different teams. So I got a win, they got a loss.

Its happened to me a couple of times. I hope JIP burns when Halo 5 is released.

Let’s see if you can JiP when CSR rolls around.

Has to do with the population number being so low, the fact that there could have been alot of teams playing so there were no open slots in other lobbies or that there was only that game available with 3 open slots.

JiP is good and bad in some instances.

On one hand, it allows for team balancing in close matches so that people who get screwed over by quitting teammates don’t lose due to the loss of teammates.

On the other hand, if you’re joining on a team that had people quit in the first place, there was probably a good reason for it. Ergo, you’re getting your -Yoinks!- handed to you by a team absolutely dominating and the people that stuck around are either hopeless outmatched or too dense to realize it’s hopeless.

They said in the Bulletin that you still will, but they’re reducing the window for it. I think they said it’s only if someone quits in the first minute.

You know what is the fun thing about JiP?

You join a game with a score of 470-120, you obviously quit because theres no reason playing that game…later you check your rep in xbox live and you see that you have a 30% negative rep due quitting hahaha are you serious? then you recieve hate messages saying why you quit? you suck! blablabla its just Hilarious… and sad.

This just happened to me, except I got put back in the same game twice, TWICE
what a load of -BLAM!-
