JiP at it's finest!

So I joined a game of BTIS, and this is what I got.

In case you do not feel like watching the match I will sum it up for you:

-I joined and my team was losing 500-150.
-The other team has Beam Rifle, Several Binary Rifles, and I think a sniper.
-The other team were all a team that joined MM together. I know this because when I told them in post game that they only won because they are a team playing randoms, they decided to all 1v1 me in a row. It was quite comical.

I should NEVER be joined into a game where the opposing team has 1/2 of the point needed to win and are completely destroying.

I should NEVER join such a game against an entire team when I joined alone.

For the record this is the first time in my Halo 4 career where I was unable to even acquire an assist before the match ended. Lame…

Remove JiP or nonsense like this will ruin the game.

I have had numerous games (usually Objective) when I was unable even to shoulder a weapon and aim, much less pull the trigger and get a kill or assist.

The decision to remove the ability to tell if a team was in a party or not was a step backward. I understand some losers will quit out of a BTB game if they realized they were going against an 8-team, but join-in-progress should fix this, right? So no need to remove that ability completely. I like to know what I’m up against, and some of the sweetest victories have come from winning with pub teams against 8-deep parties of Inheritors on Reach. (Who whine like you won’t believe.)

I think this is a better example of the worst JiP demonstration ever.

JIP is the only feature that is quantifiably unfair.

JIP should be boycotted by anyone who doesn’t want to be sucked into a game by it. When you see you are being selected for JIP, switch your network to local and then back to LIVE. If you are caught into a game using JIP, just quit.

JIP was designed to fill holes in teams, but INSTEAD (e.g., it fails to do what it was intended to do in the first place) it offers losers the ability to pass their loss off to unsuspecting poor -Yoink!-.

JIP has only one positive - it allows those players who couldn’t care at all if they are on the losing team to join in to the action ASAP. Therefore it should remain in the game, but it should be made optional.

Then we need an option to turn JiP on or off.

I should have the option whether I want to be matched quickly into games that may or may not be winning, or to sit in lobby to wait for a fresh match.

I should NEVER be joined into a game against my will that had the outcome I showed above.

Likewise, I also believe that only certain playlists should be ranked, and the other (social) playlists should use the JiP.

The ability to see people who joined as a party was important to Halo I thought. It allowed us to quickly see who on the other team may or may not be assets.

Lol the funny thing is, this happened to me and my gf the other day. We joined a game and we were like… “Where is the other team? Are they not playing?” They spawned in like 15-30 seconds late.

What the -Yoink- 343i?

100% un-legit.
