Someone please give me a reason that makes this okay. I get so mad when I join a losing game. How can someone ever increase their rank that way? Am I missing something?
Yh I made a thread on this already, it’s pretty stupid. But, seems quite easy to get a 50 on this game so it could be worse still.
Well, it makes me mad too. Seriously, getting thrown into a losing game sucks. But, all you can do is try to win i guess. It’s all you can do really.
You can still get your 50. I did and I didn’t even use the anti-JIP exploit. Just put on your biggest tryhard face every game and you will get it pretty quick.
I am not like hugely concerned about a Halo 4 50 after I got the Halo 3 50, but it still just irritates me I guess. Like, you would hope someone who gets their MLG 50 could get a Halo 4 50 no problem, but I join 3 losing games in a row. It does have its benefits though.

This reminds me of myself when I was trying. I was just like, “Damn, I can get a 50 in Halo 3 but not in this watered down, casual version of Halo.” JIP will very much slow you down. If JIP wasn’t around I believe people like us could get a 50 in ~30 games tops.
That said, keep trying. BTB is the easiest, as you probably already know. Even tho JIP is a -Yoink- this game doesn’t seem to rank lock people like H3 did, so don’t worry about your account becoming impossible to level because it wont happen. Play selfishly too: this game will rank you based on your score and nothing else. Deaths do not matter and even kills aren’t all that important, its the score you’re after. Its better to go 20-25 than it is to go 15-0, and its better to have 10 kills and score 215 than it is to get 15 kills and score 200. Play hyper aggressive, steal every teammates kill that you can and you should get it without too much of an issue.

So CSR doesn’t even account for wins and losses like 3? I’m just finding this out after 1000 games haha.

While a few playlists do go off win/loss it is unlikely you will get a 50 in them. At this point those playlists are either dead or filled with no-lifers. The vast majority of playlists including BTB and Rumble (by far the most common playlists for ppl to get 50s) count only individual score. Winning basically means jack because the game interprets that you just got carried by your team. I have heard tho that in BTB winning does provide a slight boost. IDK if that’s true but my experience makes me doubt it. Even if it is the effect is so small it’s basically negligible. There were games when my team got slaughtered but I earned MVP so I still leveled up. There was also a game where I was on the winning team but finished behind 4 teammates and consequently ranked down (thanks to our good friend JIP). Don’t worry about how your team is doing because it essentially doesn’t matter. Focusing only on your own score is the way to a 50.

So basically to rank up encourages selfish game play?

Yup. No one has ever claimed that this CSR system works well.
To my way of thinking, JIP is allowing a computer to make your decisions for you, regarding what map/game type you will play. I play btb because I enjoy the ground troops vs vehicle battles, maps such as settler and complex do not accomplish this. And as for big team sniper, if I want to camp, I will pitch a tent beside a river. If I get JIP into a game that I don’t enjoy playing, then I leave straight away. Some may see this as quitting, I see it as making my own decisions in regard to what I play. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I play this game to enjoy myself.
No doubt this attitude plays havoc with my csr, but I don’t really care.

I don’t think anyone can really blame you for quitting out in a game you didn’t even start out in. It takes away a lot of the fun. I think it’s stupid it has to be that way, and I wish people wouldn’t have to quit, but that is more JIP.
