Just played a doubles game against two guys who did nothing but fly up as high as they could and needled us to death. It was on Asylum. They couldn’t snipe for -Yoink- and every DMR battle on the ground we out shot them by a mile. BUT since the jetpack allows noobs to fly up, up, and away they won the game by 2 kills. Us, using 3 sensitivity, couldn’t look up fast enough to shoot them.
If you have to do this to win a game, then you probably suck at the game and should go play COD or something. Also, if the jetpack is the same in Halo 4 i’ll probably break the disk and throw it out the window.
Thank god there’s only about a month left.
Reach can suck it.

> It’s because there was a challenge today that involved jetpack. Why anyone would want to give people incentive to use it is beyond me though.
Ahh, i forgot about that. This is something that happens to me on a daily basis, though. But yeah, the first time i saw that challenge that was my exact thought haha.

Or when they Jetpack as high as they can on Uncaged and lob grenades down at you. I hate that map…

statements like this are silly.
So there are 4 jetpackers, you kill 3 of them and 1 out of the 4 kills you because they came spamming in with an AR above you. You had just killed 3 and have no shields left. So that makes you a noob because 1 guy was able to kill you when you were already weak?

> Don’t worry, it’s been nerfed a lot in Halo 4, you Jetpack for less time, move slower, and it has a long recharge.
Yeah, but it still ruins any semblance of map control.

I just marvel that people come and post about what noobs the players were that beat them.
It’s like telling the person that got a better grade then you on the same test that they are not as smart as you.

I don’t think anyone here was beat by the jetpackers (at least not me). The posters are just expressing their annoyance of them while beating them. You can be annoyed by something in a game and still win … Reach as a whole annoys me but I still do fine.

Read the OP of the person complaining, he diminishes their ability as noob-like yet was beat by them.
I dont like getting beat either, but I dont come on forums to talk about what a noob the other person was that just beat me.
I would be embarrassed, but I guess thats just me.

That’s not the best metaphor, though.
OP limited themselves to game mechanics that offer rewards proportional to OP’s expenditure of effort – in other words, skillful game mechanics.
The Jetpackers, on the other hand, were using a game mechanic that offers too large of a reward for too little an expenditure of effort – in other words, an unskilled game mechanic, which compensated for their lack of true skill. A crutch.
I can’t think of something that could be added to your metaphor to capture the crux of the problem… I think a better metaphor would be losing a marathon against a guy with prosthetic legs that never wear out.
