That’s not a Jetpack.
Its a thruster pack.
The thruster pack was confirmed a while ago.
I’m struggling to understand why there’s an exclamation point in the title of this thread. Thruster pack or jet pack - both are unwelcome.

Just because they are in SO doesn’t mean they are in MM. Which they haven’t confirmed that it will be, so keep your hopes up.
I don’t think that is the thruster pack… I think they both are in.

Jet pack is unwelcome to me. I can deal with a thruster pack that speeds you forward like a super sprint.

Because when the AA’s were shown at e3, it was named thruster pack, which 343i even stated in a bulletin after e3…last year

Also, I noticed in the video they said that Halo 4 was using a new engine when really it’s just a modified Reach engine.

This is exactly why I’m going to hate default sprint… 
They are thrusters bro, not JP’s. The two function differently.
Edit: And thank goodness for that! JP on Reach was horrible and broken, waaaaayyyy worse than AL.

That’s what they all are. Every Halo engine has been a modified version of the previous game. They just call this a new engine because they basically stripped the Reach one and built it back up.

Which was just a modified Halo 3 engine. Which was just a modified Halo 2 engine. Which was just a modified Halo: CE engine. Which was just a modified Havok engine.
OT, while the Jetpack gimmick might have been interesting for some, the negative affect it had on gameplay merits its removal.
I really wish people would stop saying confirmed when it clearly has not. 343 has said nothing about it returning. Every AA thats been named has been. but not jet pack. And yes ive seen that footage before. Just because the jetpack is in spartan ops does NOT mean it will be in standard multiplayer. At this point its a speculation. Not confirmed.
