Jetpack Appears To Function as a Jump Pack

Watch the Elite.

Notice how quick the boost is and how quickly it ends? It appears to function a LOT more like a jump pack now.

Also, I realize it’s an Elite using it which means it may not apply to the actual Armor Ability, but I think it’s a pretty safe assumption. The Elite’s jetpacks in Reach were identical to the Armor Ability.

it was the same way with the elites in halo reach but it was different for the spartans. We havent really seen any thruster gameplay but we will hopefully soon

Supposing it would act the same for spartans, that could possibly be the equivalent of a “super jump” AA.

Rangers behaved the same exact way in Halo: Reach, so I don’t think this is an accurate portrayal of the Jetpack’s abilities.

Which is what it needs to be. Reach’s jetpack allowed users to easily exploit maps and their stupidkill zones. Not to mention jetpack just destroyed maps. A jump pack would be MUCH better in every way possible.

Better solution: just don’t have the Jetpack in MM.

Jetpack Elites do not jetpack in the same matter as a player can. They can hover in Halo 2, while H3 Brutes and Reach were the jump pack style. Even as a jump pack, jetpack would still break maps. Shouldn’t be in multiplayer. Period.
