The jet packs are so weak, not even worth using
The thrusters don’t even do anything at all…like absolutely zero.They would be cool if they worked.
I know i’m not the only one.
Jet pack is weaker. But it will get you up to certain places faster. It’s very convenient. This way we don’t get people flying around the entire map killling everyone.
I personally use the jet pack to get power weapons that are high up.
And ya about dat thruster… I wanna like it. But I can’t say it’s helped me too much. MLG people seem to like it though.
You’re probably trying to compare those two armour abilities to those in Reach, which would imply that they’re designed for the same role, which they aren’t. Jet Pack in Halo 4 seems to be designed to be more of a double jump, letting you get to those higher ledges a bit more easily rather than flying around. It’s similar to the one in Reach, but shouldn’t be used in the same way.
Thruster Pack, on the other hand, is absolutely nothing like Evade. Rather than using it to go around more quickly or to quickly roll around a player to confuse him, Thruster Pack is a more situational ability. You can use it to close in the distance to a player when you have a sword or shotgun, or perhaps you can use it in mid-air to get to that ledge that’s just a bit too far away. It’s also great for dodging grenades too or to get out of a battle you can’t win.
I like them how they are. Any extra boost or lift would be too much of an advantage.
Thruster’s are situational, not useless.
If you can’t see what they do, your doing it all wrong.
They allow, fast direction changes, good for:
Dodging grenades, diving back around corners, dodging vehicles, dodging assassination, CQC - Dodging past an enemy to hit them in the back, charging somebody…etc. etc.
The thrusters push you like 2 feet. The time it takes for you to hit the button and recover after using it to continue moving makes it useless.
And for the jet pack,i mainly used them for hovering above enemies and shooting down for easy headshots and such, i dont want it to go higher, just last longer.
i dont want to go higher but longer. It last just short of what i want to accomplish every time
