Seriously. Why is the jet pack even in Halo 4? Come around a corner with a rocket launcher only to see a kid flying straight up into the air with his/her DMR and I am forced to run back because he/she gets first shot. Why even makes bridges on levels if you can just completely avoid using them? Just fly around all day like a stupid fairy. Honestly the jet pack puts you in places you should never be able to get into. Jet pack + camo + fore runner vision and all those other gimmicky armour abilities don’t belong in Halo. Thruster pack is pretty decent though.
This is typical Jet pack fairy children:
Even worse is when your holding down Ring 3 in abandon only to have jet pack warriors fly up from a 90 degree angle above you only to get first shot on you and then proceed to nade spam is ridiculous and unfair.
I like jet packs… in campaign that is. I do agree that they mess up the map flow.
If there were some sort of action-sack like gametype where everyone has jetpacks in a low-level gravity arena of sorts; that might be fun. But for things like team slayer and stuff like that, I’d rather they couldn’t use them. This is just my opinion of course.
(If they could find a way to really balance them for gameplay, I’d wthink it would be okay. Again, just an opinion. )

Dont forget sprint I read from alot competitive gamers here on the forum that sprint has nothing to do with Halo.
There was no sprint in Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3.jk
Jet pack takes no skill. What really takes skill is to sit in a room with the rocket launcher, and you should also whip it out and make it super obvious that you have rockets. Lollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

I 100% agree I wish they took out jetpack/camo from loadouts and they made it so not everyone on the map can use them. Jetpack just breaks map control and camo belongs only as a powerup like the previous Halo’s. Promeathean vision is really stupid to.
“Jetpack warriors” lmao that genuinely made me laugh, I’ve never heard them called that before, I’m gona start calling my friend that when he uses it lol.
If my opponent can’t think three dimensionally then I will take advantage of that.
If my opponent cannot effectively use their radar then I will take advantage of that.
I use it occasionally. It gives me a slight advantage but the maps in H4 have low ceilings. There are also no well concealed areas on these maps. Effective ground enemies are still a threat if they’re using their heads.
Calling jet pack users fairies is just deflecting the issue IMHO.
Besides, I’m pretty sure jet pack has been a wish since the days of Prisoner Rockets
The jet pack ruined map flow on Reach but not 4, the maps are designed for the jet pack in halo 4. Hence the lack of roof in most maps and passage ways.

What really makes no sense, is that in Halo Reach, they had to take the jet pack out of certain playlists because its a POS. But in lol Halo 4 you can have it no matter what. If the jet pack wasn’t in the game, most of the people that are “good” wouldnt be. What were they thinking? It didnt work in reach so why would it work now

I don’t think you understand video games in general with your uneducated opinion about jetpacks. It adds diversification to the game, adds an entire new dimension of verticality for the user, and frankly you must just not be very good at the game to be shooting rockets at people in the sky anyway.
Switch to your primary and take them out. Anyone who complains about armor abilities has no skill at all. Simple. Same goes to the dude whining about active camo.
Why not just take out anything that adds any variable gameplay and run around shooting at eachother, weapons and vehicles included.
Oh hold on…there’s SWAT for that.
Your opinion is solely based on the fact that you don’t like people owning you with jetpacks. Not an argument of any kind. Just grow up and learn how to take em out. I will gladly kill you from above with my jetpack until then.
