The guy that said cross core customization would be coming in season 2 starting with helmets and visors just left 343i.
He was also the guy who pushed for cheaper store items and better bundles in the store.
One of the dev’s giving full transparency between the community and 343i.
I can’t help but wonder what sort of delays this will bring about going forward. Remember when they said they needed to go slow so they could move faster going forward? this seems like well, not that.
And it’s a good thing, he pushed for everything to monetization and the customization and look how he ruined it… We didn’t need a person who worked on the KINECT to work on halo and to lead halo and he didn’t push for those things until everyone was bombarding them about it HE WAS THE ONE THAT MADE THOSE DECISIONS/SAID “WE KNOW YOU DONT LIKE IT BUT WE AT 343 LIKE IT”
Nah don’t make him seem like he did that out of the goodness of his heart lol. He did that because no one liked it when they had to keep paying for more and more and then everything got out of hand and then they decided to do it.
We are talking about the guy who had quite the part to play as a developer for the original Xbox Days and Xbox Live as a whole - all the way back in 2003. While the state of Infinite and previous high-profile departures doesn’t make this look good, it also wouldn’t be unsurprising if the dude has finally decided to just retire
Halo infinite is becoming the new Overwatch. High diamonds with 200 games since the game released. Corrupted matchmaking « casino system» - Desynchronization harassing people who don’t play with 3000 $ computers. Soft cheater everywhere. ( DNS block, XIM, etc ) Deranking becoming the common way to grind. Etcetcetc
Really? I cant say i agree.
Art is amazing and much of the sound is great.
But i still have loads of audio issues and dont believe thats a call for people in the departmwnt to resign.
The issue is the higher level management weve all seen the signs.
Such bs hes getting shade for leaving 2 btw, be better guys! (Generally not you B84)
Ah yes because hes certsinly best known for his role as being the umpteenth design lead on HI cant think of a single contribution hes made to the industry.
Its not like he helped pioneer anything note worthy.
He certainly didnt play a pivotal role in revolutionising the console and gaming landscape at large or have anything to do with the prior success of halo as far back as 2004.
What even is xbox live? Pffft no one cares about online gaming.
On consoles? Hahaha thats just silly!
OK, unless I’m missing a fair amount of context, we don’t have a clue which side of the monetization paradigm Jerry fell on, and when. Presumably he was pretty complacent in the initial formulation for pricing and shop structure, but he’s also been probably the prime figurehead at 343i addressing the need for things to change on this front.
Lionizing OR demonizing him now over monetization both miss the point, and frankly there’s no credible evidence to suggest his departure is directly tied to the ongoing monetization debacle, OR that any of the plans he communicated to reduce core restrictions and improve the value proposition in the store are being deviated from.
This development isn’t solid ground for speculation. We’ll likely learn more when details for Drop Pod 1 start to roll out.
I don’t know how it works to be honest, but Inf has live design team.
Are they working with guidelines that was made by lead of design(Hook) or they bring their own ideas to be approved by him.
I mean it’s kinda hard to say there that problem really came from. In the end we still have Ms above everything with their guidelines like they wanted game to be f2p, so 343 did it f2p.
Y’all are treating this very strangely do you know that? Like a portent of bad things to come and why, because he said features you want are coming and now he’s gone? You would not thank him by name when they came, were he still present. You would say, “Mmh, took you long enough.”.
