Jerrod

What happened to Halsey’s pocket AI? Because if i recall correctly, there was no mention of him after Halsey crashed on Onyx.

No mention of him has has been made after Ghosts of Onyx. His fate has not been confirmed, though I presume that he is currently back in ONI custody.

Perhaps 343 and Traviss forgot about him.

Bound to happen when not doing research is a virtue, at least in Karen Traviss’ eyes. How 343i let this issue slip though, no clue.

Exactly. He could’ve been a big help in Glasslands, discerning the Forerunner glyphs and structures. Where’s Nylund when you need him?

Working on his Resistors series, I think it is for young-adults. Rather see Timothy Zahn in action though, ask almost any Star Wars fan and they’ll tell you his novels painted a pretty balanced look at both Rebellion and Empire. That is what Halo needs.

[CLASSIFIED], the writer of Glasslands, didn’t do any proper research whatsoever (reading the books or playing the games) and 343i either completely forgot about Jerrod or just arbitrarily decided he shouldn’t be included, just like they forgot that Onyx was surrounded by trillions and trillions or super Sentinels and no ship would even be able to get close enough to the planet for constant surveillance or anything else that Kilo-5 or the rest of ONI does around Onyx in Glasslands without the Sentinels being destroyed or otherwise shut-down. ONI wouldn’t be the only ones trying to keep up observation on Onyx either, the UNSC would have just as much of a presence and/or be in complete control of the operation…so Parangosky wouldn’t have been able to kidnap Halsey either.

It’s probably for the best to just completely ignore all of [CLASSIFIED] works and/or treat them as non-canon.

The sentinels were mentioned …

All under one canon… you do not decide what is and what isn’t canon.

Just because of a few continuity errors? Yeah I realized that things like Jerrod being missing were just wrong, but don’t act like Nylund didn’t make just as many, if not more, errors until he re-wrote Fall of Reach… what, 2 times?

Don’t get me wrong, Nylund was my favorite Halo author, and Traviss made a few errors, but it’s blown so far out of proportion it’s ridiculous…

Making Pelicans carry more than 15 Spartans and setting Reach to fall 10 years prior to when it did. Talk about not doing your research.

It was a modified Pelican.

“Setting it up” is different from it actually happening. What are you talking about anyway?

You seem to be referring to the Definitive Edition version of The Fall of Reach, of which I don’t think Nylund had any involvement in. So…not quite the same as Ms. Traviss who actively and clearly talks about not doing research on anything she writes for.
