When Jega appears, you can see that he has his energy sword in one hand, but what is in his other hand? Sorry if it’s supposed to be obvious, but I’ve never seen it.
At first I thought it was another Energy Sword flipped in reverse, but upon further inspection his arm is robotic and the blades are projecting out of the wrist… interesting…

Looks to be an energy bracer of some sort. I’m sure there will be some background/lore behind it but we’re seeing 343 branch out a little with energy weapons by giving Banished energy maces and such.
His weapons remind me of what samurai used in feudal Japan. His energy sword is like the classic katana, and the blades on his other arm could function like a samurai’s tanto, which was a shorter blade that was better suited for close range. So he can theoretically use it to slash at someone who gets too close. I doubt that it’s a shield since the sides are too short and the middle attached to his arm is uncovered. Although in actual gameplay purposes it is probably just a cool look and not something he is likely to use as a gameplay mechanic. Unless he can throw the thing on his left arm like some kind of boomerang/frisbee? That would be interesting indeed.

Since he’s a boss, I hope he’ll be able to switch different equipment with his robotic arm. His second energy blade is built into his arm, but maybe he can have a shield gauntlet as well. I’ve always wanted Zealots to have shields since Noob Comboing them was always too easy. Maybe the Banished’s resident Demonslayer will be different.
